The left-hander also gave up his first two homers of the year, with Cal Raleigh's two-run shot in the sixth inning resulting in the hurler getting the hook. Since being activated from the injured list April 27 following a near month-long absence due to an elbow injury, Valdez has surrendered seven runs on 14 hits across 10.1 frames over two starts.       Advice: Wacha exited with two outs in the fourth inning after giving up singles to four of the final five batters he faced. The seven runs were a season high for the right-hander, while his three punchouts tied a season low. Wacha was doing fine with a 3.81 ERA through his first five starts this season, but that number has since ballooned to 5.50 as a result of the veteran hurler giving up 11 earned runs over 9.1 innings across his past two appearances.       Framber Valdez coughed up five runs over 5 1/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Valdez didn’t quite have as much success in his second outing back from the injured list as the division-rival Mariners tagged him for a pair of homers, which was more than enough run support for Logan Gilbert, who tossed eight shutout innings on the other side. The 30-year-old southpaw will carry a serviceable 3.97 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 19/7 K/BB ratio across 22 2/3 innings (four starts) into a road outing on Friday against the Tigers.       Michael Wacha was torched for a season-high seven runs over 3 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Rangers.

      Advice: Wacha was lit up for nine hits in this one, which makes it even more remarkable that none of them wound up leaving the yard.       Carlos Correa went 0-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Saturday as the Twins triumphed over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Correa drove in the Twins’ first run in the opening inning with an RBI ground out off of Brennan Bernadino. He then added a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning that extended their lead to 3-1.       Perez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Friday's 7-1 victory over the Rangers.

      Advice: Perez's three-run shot off Jose Urena capped off a six-run seventh inning for the Royals and extended the backstop's hitting streak to four games. He promptly retired Mookie Betts on two pitches before yielding a game-tying RBI single to Shohei Ohtani.
