    • Launches grand slam
Profar went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a hit-by-pitch and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Profar gave the Padres the extra cushion they ultimately needed when he slugged a grand slam in the sixth inning. The Nationals attempted a comeback but fell short. After a brief absence with a knee injury over the weekend, Profar has resumed his hot hitting --he's 10-for-36 (.278) with nine RBI during his nine-game hitting streak. For the season, the outfielder is at a stellar .317/.410/.488 slash line with 11 homers, 54 RBI, 45 runs scored and four stolen bases over 82 contests. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Joins 20-save club
Suarez allowed an unearned run on one hit and struck out one over one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Suarez has converted his last three save chances after a blown save June 18 versus the Phillies. He's now at 20 saves on the year, and he's the fifth pitcher in the majors to reach that milestone in 2024. Of those top-tier closers, Suarez's 1.09 ERA is second only to Cleveland's Emmanuel Clase (0.70). Suarez has also maintained a 0.79 WHIP and 30:6 K:BB over 33 innings this season. • Seven-game RBI streak
Diaz went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Diaz led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, continuing his excellent run of recent production. He has gone deep three times in his last six starts and also has at least one RBI in seven straight games. Diaz also extended his hitting streak to 18 games, during which he's hit .358. • Mickey Moniak’s first grand slam propels Angels
Mickey Moniak hit his first career grand slam Tuesday to lead the Angels past the A’s 7-5.

Advice: Moniak’s slam was a homer in only six ballparks, says Statcast, but that was mostly because of its low trajectory; Moniak crushed the pitch, which left his bat at 107.9 mph. He’s earned himself some extra playing time by hitting .254/.333/.475 in 66 plate appearances this month. He came in at just .169/.208/.242 over the first two months. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Tyler Anderson goes five in win over A’s
Tyler Anderson allowed three runs over five innings Tuesday in a win over the A’s.

Advice: Anderson struck out two and walked five tonight, but walks and strikeouts simply haven’t meant anything to him this season. He’s posted a hideous 65/46 K/BB ratio while amassing a 2.63 ERA in 94 1/3 innings. The win tonight evened his record at 7-7. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Carlos Estévez strikes out two for 15th save
Carlos Estévez struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his 15th save Tuesday against the A’s.

Advice: Estévez came up one batter shy of completing a closer’s perfect game; he’d retired 26 straight over nine outings before giving up a single to Tyler Soderstrom tonight. He then struck out Shea Langerhans to end the game. His ERA has dropped from 5.06 ERA to 3.24 during this nearly perfect stretch. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
    • Mitch Spence gives up six runs to Angels in loss
Mitch Spence was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Angels.

Advice: Spence has strictly alternated good and bad outings in eight starts since joining the A’s rotation, so if you like to put any stock in that kind of thing, he could bounce back while facing the Angels again next time out. We’d continue to shy away, though. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Earns first career win
Mazur (1-2) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over five innings, but he earned the win Tuesday over the Nationals.

Advice: Washington did all of its damage in the third inning, which was punctuated by a two-run home run by Jesse Winker. Mazur was able to rebound over two more frames, and the Padres' offense pulled ahead for good in the fifth. The right-hander's first major-league win wasn't pretty, but that's been typical for the 23-year-old as he tries to find his footing with the Padres. He's at a 7.25 ERA, 1.84 WHIP and 11:17 K:BB over 22.1 innings through five starts. He'll likely head back to Triple-A El Paso once Yu Darvish (groin/elbow) is cleared to return, which could happen next week but is far from a guarantee. Rotowire.com 15 minutes ago

    • Three-game hitting streak
Jimenez went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Jimenez started in his third consecutive game since being activated from the injured list Sunday, and he has one hit in each contest. His performance Tuesday marked his first extra-base hit in that span, and he also has one RBI and one run scored. Jimenez has hit either third or fourth in every game since his return.
