    • Grabs 10th save
Kimbrel picked up the save on Thursday, pitching a perfect two-thirds of an inning in an 8-6 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: It was actually Jonathan Heasley who came out to start the ninth inning after also appearing in the eighth, though he would quickly run into trouble after failing to retire the first four batters he faced in the frame. He would be relieved by Yennier Cano, but the latter would also struggle, allowing three runs to come across to make it an 8-6 ballgame. That's when Kimbrel came in to save the day, needing just two pitches to record the final two outs on a double play ball -- though Andrew Vaughn was technically called out on runner's interference for the last out. The veteran reliever has converted each of his three save attempts this month after blowing back-to-back saves to close out April. He also hasn't allowed any hits or walks in those save appearances while posting five strikeouts. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago
    • Coughs up season-high five runs
Clevinger (0-3) took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Clevinger went 1-2-3 through Baltimore's lineup over the first two innings before he began to unravel in the third, surrendering two hits and two walks in the frame, which would lead to one run coming across for the Orioles. Things only got worse in the fourth when the right-hander gave up a leadoff homer to Anthony Santander, followed by a three-run shot from Jorge Mateo five batters later. Clevinger has now gone just 4.2 innings in each of his last three starts, posting five strikeouts in each of those outings. He's also given up at least three runs in three of his four starts and is still looking for his first win on the campaign. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
    • Mariners send Saucedo (knee) on Triple-A rehab
Mariners sent Tyler Saucedo (knee) on rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Saucedo is recovering from right knee hyperextension. The 30-year-old left-hander shouldn’t need many appearances with Triple-A before returning to the Mariners’ bullpen. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

Brewers send DL Hall (knee) on rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Hall has been on the injured list since late April with a knee sprain. With his rehab progressing to Triple-A, it shouldn’t be much longer until he rejoins the Brewers’ major league rotation. Rotoworld Today, 5:58 am

    • Earns fifth win
Rodriguez (5-1) earned the win over the White Sox on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings while striking out seven.

Advice: Rodriguez ran into trouble out of the gate after surrendering a leadoff single to Tommy Pham to open the game. The right-hander would fail to retire four of the first six batters in the frame and even walked home the first run of the contest, but was able to escape without any further damage being done. His command issues would continue in the third when he issued a two-out walk and then hit Paul DeJong with a pitch in the following at-bat, eventually leading to Chicago's second run coming home on an Andrew Benintendi single. Rodriguez has now allowed just two runs over 11 innings since returning from the injured list, though his five walks Thursday marked a season high. He's now issued at least three free passes in three straight outings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:45 am
    • Dominant in win
Gausman (3-3) picked up the win over the Tigers on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings.

Advice: Gausman had his best stuff Thursday, striking out a season-high 10 batters while not allowing a hit until the sixth inning when Javier Baez tagged him for a leadoff single. The right-hander induced 18 whiffs on the night and struck out at least two batters in three different innings. He's now won his last three decisions (spanning five starts) and has given up one run or fewer five of his last seven outings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:10 am
    • Kimbrel picks up 10th save Thursday
Craig Kimbrel picked up the save against the White Sox on Thursday.

Advice: With the bases loaded and a five-run lead in the ninth inning, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde went to Yennier Cano for what was an unconventional save opportunity. Cano hit Andrew Vaughn and allowed a two run single to Gavin Sheets to make it a two-run game. After striking out Zach DeLoach, Cano was removed in favor of Kimbrel, who got Andrew Benintendi to pop into a double play. The save was Kimbrel’s 10th of the season and his third since returning to the closer’s role. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:06 pm
    • Clevinger allows five in loss Thursday
Mike Clevinger allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Clevinger allowed an RBI single to Adley Rutschman in the third inning before allowing two home runs in the fourth inning. Anthony Santander hit a solo home run to start the inning. After back-to-back two out singles by Ryan Mountcastle and Cedric Mullins, Jorge Mateo hit a three-run home run to put the Orioles ahead 5-2. Clevinger hasn’t completed five innings in any of his four starts this season. His ERA is up to 6.75 on the season. The 33-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Blue Jays at home next week.
