    • Framber Valdez surrenders two runs in loss
Framber Valdez pitched six innings of two-run ball Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Valdez allowed just two hits, but he walked five batters, which fueled the rallies in the third and fifth innings. Valdez worked out of big jams to limit the White Sox to single runs both innings, but the Astros offense did nothing to back him tonight. Rotoworld Today, 8:04 pm
    • Struggles with control in loss
Valdez (5-5) took the loss Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on two hits and five walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The Houston southpaw toiled against a weak White Sox team that entered the evening collectively batting .220 with a 7.1 percent walk rate -- both qualifying as the second-worst marks in the majors. The five walks Valdez issued were the most since his first start this season against the Yankees on March 28, when he issued six free passes. The 30-year-old now sports a 3.91 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 56:24 K:BB over 73.2 innings. Valdez faces a difficult test in his next scheduled outing, slated to come against Baltimore at home this weekend. • Kyle Tucker (shin) still not back to baseball activity
Kyle Tucker (shin) still hasn’t resumed baseball activities.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada said Tuesday that there was optimism Tucker would be able to resume some baseball activities by this point, but that hasn’t happened. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June due to a right shin contusion. Rotoworld Today, 4:19 pm

    • William Contreras back in lineup Tuesday vs. Halos
William Contreras is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Contreras is back at designated hitter following a one-game absence for precautionary reasons following a scary-looking home-plate collision over the weekend. The positive development here for the Brewers, and fantasy managers, is that the 26-year-old backstop has been cleared of a potential concussion. Rotoworld Today, 3:45 pm
    • Back in lineup Tuesday
Contreras (head) is serving as the Brewers' designated hitter and batting second Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Contreras had to sit out Monday's contest after he was hit in the head during a play at the plate Sunday. He now seems to be in good enough shape to play again, though it will be Gary Sanchez behind the dish catching for Tobias Myers. Contreras still holds a .305 batting average on the season, but he has struggled to find consistent success recently, slashing just .232/.246/.321 since the start of June. Rotowire.com Today, 3:25 pm
    • Ha-Seong Kim draws rare day off on Tuesday night
Ha-Seong Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: It’s an extremely rare day off for Kim, who has started every game for San Diego since May 23. The 28-year-old is struggling a little bit over the last few weeks, batting .213 (10-for-47) with two homers and six steals over his last 15 contests. It’ll be Tyler Wade drawing a rare start at shortstop on Tuesday evening against the Phillies. Rotoworld Today, 1:14 pm

    • Resting Tuesday
Garcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Garcia will get his first day off since April 27, as Travis Jankowski bats sixth and plays right field Tuesday. Garcia owns a .677 OPS with 13 homers and six stolen bases through 285 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 1:08 pm

    • Adolis García on the bench Tuesday vs. Mets
Adolis García is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: It appears to be a routine off day for García, who has been struggling of late, batting .152 (17-for-112) with five homers and two steals, while also striking out 34 times, over his last 30 contests. It’s possible a mental break will help get things back on track. Rotoworld Today, 1:08 pm

    • Gets breather Tuesday
Kim is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Philadelphia.

Advice: It's just the second day off this season for Kim, who is just 4-for-22 across his last eight games. Tyler Wade will receive a start at shortstop Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:07 pm
