    • Back at DH on Monday
Santander (knee) is batting fifth as the designated hitter Monday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Santander aggravated his bruised knee Saturday against the Mariners and was held out of the lineup Sunday, but he's been cleared to bat in the series opener at St. Louis. The 29-year-old said Sunday that running in the outfield has been a bit problematic, so he could continue to serve as Baltimore's DH for the next few days as he completes his recovery. • Fans eight in quality start
Bibee allowed a run on four hits and a walk over seven innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out eight during the win over the Twins.

Advice: Outside of a Jose Miranda solo shot in the third inning, Bibee was nearly untouchable Sunday. Bibee matched his season best with seven innings of work but it was just his second quality start of the year. He's registered a strong 3.23 ERA over his last seven starts, dropping his season ERA to 3.93 through 52.2 frames. Bibee's next outing is currently projected to be a road matchup with the Angels. • Triples in two straight
Carroll went 1-for-4 with a triple, a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 6-4 win over Detroit. He was also caught stealing.

Advice: Carroll tripled to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored the first of two Arizona runs during the frame. It was the second straight game with a triple for Carroll, who finished second in MLB last season with 10 three-baggers. He was moved back to leadoff seven games ago, but it hasn't done much to break Carroll's season-opening slump; he's 4-for-24 with three extra-base hits, five runs and has been caught stealing twice. • Goes deep in win
Campusano went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Campusano went deep to left off Ray Kerr to extend the Padres' lead to 8-0 in the fifth. It was his second home run this month and his fourth of the year. The 25-year-old is now slashing .264/.309/.421 with 14 extra-base hits, 25 RBI, 19 runs and a 9:20 BB:K in 149 plate appearances after compiling a career-high 174 plate appearances last season. • Tanner Bibee stellar across seven innings
Tanner Bibee struck out eight over seven innings in the Guardians’ 5-2 win over the Twins on Sunday. He scattered four hits, walked one, and allowed one earned run in a no-decision.

Advice: Bibee has struggled relative to expectations out of the gate this season but he was fantastic on Sunday. A José Miranda home run was the only blemish on his ledger as he kept the Twins off-balance all afternoon with a heavy diet of his signature slider. His average fastball velocity also trickled up to 96 MPH, his highest by a full tick in any start this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:17 pm
    • Eovaldi, Dunning throwing bullpens Sunday
Nathan Eovaldi (groin) is throwing a bullpen before Sunday’s game against the Angels.

Advice: Both Eovaldi and Dane Dunning will throw bullpen sessions of around 15-20 pitches before the game. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters that both hurlers will be evaluated after to determine their next steps. Texas has been decimated by injuries to their staff in 2024, and the return of Eovaldi in particular would be a major boon for the defending champions. A timetable for both starters should be made clearer in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:34 am

    • Knee remains bothersome
Santander is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners due to soreness and swelling in his left knee, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old served as Baltimore's designated hitter the past two days after he suffered a bruised knee Wednesday, and he aggravated the injury while running the bases. Santander said running in the outfield remains a bit of an issue, so he could be limited to DH duties for a few days as he gets back to full strength. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 am

    • Anthony Santander resting Sunday vs. Mariners
Anthony Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Santander did have a knee injury last week, but this appears to just be a day of rest for the outfielder. Austin Hays is starting against right-hander George Kirby and hitting sixth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:50 am

    • Out of lineup Sunday
Santander is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Seattle, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Santander started the last two games at designated hitter coming off the knee injury suffered Wednesday. The veteran outfielder will get a break Sunday as Baltimore rounds out its series with the Mariners, and it appears to just be a maintenance day since there's been no reports that he aggravated the injury.
