    • Hit hard in Friday's loss
Butto (0-1) took the loss Friday as the Mets fell 4-2 to the Cardinals, giving up four runs on four hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Homers by Alec Burleson in the second inning and Willson Contreras in the third accounted for all the damage off Butto, and were the first long balls he's served up this season. The right-hander tossed 94 pitches (56 strikes) before exiting, and while his 2.86 ERA and 1.09 WHIP through 22 innings look sharp, he's walking a tightrope with his control and command -- Butto has issued at least three walks in three of his four starts, and he's hit a batter with a pitch in three straight. The 26-year-old will look for his first win of 2024 when he takes the mound next week at home against the Cubs. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

    • Mashes fifth homer
Semien went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's victory over the Reds.

Advice: Semien's eighth-inning homer broke the tie in a game that had been deadlocked at 1-1 since the second frame, and it ended up being all that was needed to lift Texas over the Reds in Friday's low-scoring affair. The 33-year-old has now reached the 20-RBI mark in just 27 games, though he's gone just 4-for-25 with two RBI across his last six contests. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago
    • Punches out eight
Eovaldi didn't factor into the decision during Friday's victory over Cincinnati, giving up one earned run on three hits and five walks while striking out eight batters across six innings.

Advice: Coming off back-to-back losses, the 34-year-old righty found himself working from behind early after Elly De La Cruz walked and later stole home to score the first run of the game in the first inning. Eovaldi was able to regroup quickly and stifle the Reds' bats for the next five frames, though his struggles with limiting walks carried over from his previous start. He now owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP alongside a 36:17 K:BB through 36 innings in six games, and he'll look to pick up his second win of the season Thursday against the Nationals. • Kodai Senga (shoulder) to face hitters next week
Kodai Senga (shoulder) is scheduled to face hitters on Monday in a live batting practice session.

Advice: Senga remains unlikely to make his season debut until late May, at the earliest, but this latest development represents a massive step forward in his rehabilitation process from a shoulder injury that sent him to the injured list back in spring training. Rotoworld Today, 4:42 am

    • Kyle Bradish strikes out six on Friday at Triple-A
Kyle Bradish (elbow) recorded six strikeouts and surrendered one run over five innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Bradish appears to be on the precipice of returning to Baltimore’s starting rotation after throwing 77 pitches (49 strikes) over five frames in his latest rehab outing. It’s worth noting that the fastball velocity hasn’t totally rebounded to last year’s levels, but he still managed to induce 13 swinging strikes and finished with a respectable 32 percent CSW in this one. The 27-year-old righty has made a lightning-quick recovery from an offseason UCL sprain in his right elbow and should be rostered in all fantasy formats on the heels of last year’s breakthrough campaign. • Marcus Semien homers in eighth to lead Rangers
Marcus Semien hit his fifth homer Friday as the Rangers bested the Reds 2-1.

Advice: Semien nearly had two homers, but his 410-foot drive to center in the fifth, which Statcast said would have been gone in 18 parks, was caught at the wall. The actual homer was hit 392 feet and broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth. It gave hm 19 runs scored and 20 RBI in 27 games, even though it doesn’t seem like either he or the Rangers offense as a whole has really caught fire yet. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
    • Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t let walks get him down
Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

Advice: All three hits Eovaldi allowed were singles, and he struck out eight. Eovaldi wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA through six starts. He’s due to face the Nationals next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
    • Dealing with hamstring spasms
Manager Torey Lovullo said Friday that Gallen was removed from his start against the Mariners due to spasms in his right hamstring, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Diamondbacks will continue to monitor Gallen's condition, but the expectation is that he will be fine and may not even have to miss his next start -- tentatively slated for Wednesday. The right-hander surrendered three earned runs across five-plus innings before exiting early in the sixth frame, giving him a 3.38 ERA through his first six starts. • Zac Gallen leaves start with hamstring tightness
Zac Gallen was pulled from Friday evening’s start against the Mariners mid at-bat in the sixth inning due to tightness in his right hamstring.

Advice: With as bad as it looked initially on the field, it’s actually encouraging that it’s not an elbow, shoulder or oblique issue that the 28-year-old right-hander is dealing with. The severity of the injury still isn’t known, but there’s a possibility that he may not even require a trip to the injured list. A lot will probably depend on how he wakes up feeling on Saturday, but for now fantasy managers and Diamondbacks’ fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:50 pm
