      Advice: Quantrill surrendered a third-inning home run to J.D. Davis and later allowed the A's to scratch across an additional run in the sixth after JJ Bleday tripled before scoring on a wild pitch. Quantrill was in line for a fourth consecutive win after exiting the contest but that eventually spoiled after the bullpen coughed up three runs between the seventh and eighth innings. The 29-year-old nearly matched his season-high in strikeouts. His strikeout rate this season is up to 18.6 percent, which is a significant improvement from 13.1 last year.       Hader (3-3) earned the win over the Angels in 10 innings on Tuesday, pitching two perfect innings while striking out four.

      Advice: Hader put together a vintage performance to help the Astros get by the Angels, which included striking out the side in the 10th inning. He's now pitched multiple frames in two of his last three outings and is showing signs of dominance once again after a rough start to the year. Over his last 11 games, Hader has a 1.26 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB in 14.1 innings, which equates to a 44.4 strikeout rate.       Cal Quantrill yielded two runs in six innings and struck out eight against the A’s on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Rockies ought to be shopping Quantrill now; it’s hard to imagine he’ll have more trade value at the deadline than he does currently with his 3.59 ERA and a 44/21 K/BB ratio in 57 2/3 innings.       Josh Hader picked up a win after pitching perfect ninth and 10th innings against the Angels on Tuesday.

      Schmidt (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against Seattle, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Although Schmidt's scoreless inning streak ended at 17.0 innings, he didn't allow more than three runs -- something he's yet to do this season. Dylan Moore inflicted all the damage on Schmidt, launching a two-run homer in the third inning. On the year, Schmidt boasts a 2.59 ERA with a 61:17 K:BB over 55.2 innings and owns his best strikeout rate since becoming a full-time big-leaguer in 2022.       Advice: Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games.       Clarke Schmidt allowed two earned runs and four hits over five innings in the Yankees’ loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: The two earned runs Schmidt allowed came on a two-run homer by Dylan Moore on a pitch that was off the outside black of the plate. It was a well-thrown pitch that resulted in an unfortunate outcome for Schmidt, who was otherwise solid on the evening. He walked just two batters while striking out six and has now struck out six or more batters in seven of his 10 starts. Schmidt is scheduled to make his next start on Sunday against the Padres.       José Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ramirez’s home run was a 380-foot shot off Adrian Houser at 101.5 mph off the bat for his 12th big fly of the season. He also added a two-out RBI double to give him 44 RBI on the season. The batting average may not be what fantasy managers are hoping for, but Ramirez is hitting the ball well and should be back to something resembling his usual triple slash in no time.       Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an RBI double in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Mets.

      Advice: Ramirez extended Cleveland's lead to 3-0 in the third inning with a two-out double before cranking a two-run homer off Adrian Houser in the fifth, the slugger's 12th of the year. The 31-year-old Ramirez has gone 12-for-32 (.375) with three home runs and 13 RBI in his last eight contests.
