    • Filling bench role Monday
Black is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Nashville last Tuesday, Black worked in a reserve role for his MLB debut that day but proceeded to start at first base or designated hitter in each of the Brewers' subsequent four contests. Black went 2-for-15 with seven strikeouts over those four starts, but the Brewers will likely give him some more time to right the ship as an everyday player, at least against right-handed pitching. The lefty-hitting Black will hit the bench against Royals southpaw Cole Ragans on Monday. Rotowire.com Today, 1:38 pm

    • Snaps team scoreless streak
Steer went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Steer's ninth-inning single plated Cincinnati's lone run, marked his team-leading 23rd RBI and snapped the club's 26-inning scoreless streak at home. The Reds started five players batting .200 or lower and have had issues scoring of late, batting .185 with 78 strikeouts over the last eight games (six losses). Steer's .333 average and .639 slugging with runners in scoring position could be more helpful if the Reds can get on base in front of him. The club ranks 27th in MLB with a .292 on-base percentage. • Clubs solo homer
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 6-2 loss to San Diego.

Advice: Steer advanced to a perfect 8-for-8 on steal attempts this season and belted his fourth home run of the campaign -- and his first since April 6 -- off of Joe Musgrove in the first inning. He's cooled off since going on a tear to open the season and is batting 5-for-40 (.125) with four RBi and three runs scored during his last 11 games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:37 pm

    • Spencer Steer snaps homerless streak Wednesday
Spencer Steer clobbered a solo homer on Wednesday in the Reds’ loss to the Padres.

Advice: Steer kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to left-center field -- his fourth round-tripper of the season -- off Padres starter Joe Musgrove in the opening frame. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 6, snapping a bizarre 22-game homerless drought. The versatile 26-year-old on-base machine is batting .252/.364/.450 with 18 runs scored, four homers, 22 RBI and eight stolen bases through 31 contests. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:47 pm

    • Tyler Black batting cleanup in first MLB start
Tyler Black is batting cleanup and playing first base in his first MLB start against the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The Brewers’ No. 4 prospect will be thrown into an opportune spot in his first major league start. Black got his first taste of the big leagues on Tuesday when he came in as a pinch hitter and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run. The 25-year-old came to Milwaukee batting .303 with five homers and three steals at Triple-A Nashville this season and is absolutely worth stashing in all fantasy formats given his power and speed if he’s still available. • Tallies two hits in debut
Black went 2-for-4 and scored a run during Tuesday's win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Black was not in the Brewers' starting lineup Tuesday, but he ended up serving as the designated hitter for most of the game after Gary Sanchez (hamstring) was removed from the game in the first inning. Black doubled and singled in his first two MLB at-bats, and he was able to score his first run in the big leagues thanks to a fifth-inning Willy Adames homer. The 23-year-old infielder will likely see the field most often versus right-handed starters, though he showed he can hold his own against lefties Tuesday, as both of his hits Tuesday came off of southpaws. • Pops first homer Tuesday
Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-9 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gimenez started the Guardians' comeback with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. The second baseman has logged three straight multi-hit efforts following a recent 0-for-11 skid. For the season, he's slashing .280/.347/.374 with one homer, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored, four stolen bases, five doubles and a triple over 122 plate appearances. He continues to see a starting role and frequently bats second in the lineup against right-handers. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:48 pm

    • Andres Giménez hits first homer of 2024 vs. Astros
Andrés Giménez went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: Giménez hit his first home run of the season on Tuesday when he took Cade Smith deep to right for a two-run bomb. Giménez closes out the first month of the season with a line of .280/.347/.374 to go with one homer, 17 RBI, and 17 runs scored. While he doesn’t provide much power, Giménez is providing plenty as far as scoring and driving in runs are concerned. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:35 pm

    • Brewers call up top prospect Tyler Black
Brewers selected the contract of INF Tyler Black from Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: Black is one of the more intriguing prospects in the fantasy landscape, thanks to his combination of elite plate discipline and power/speed production in tandem with his ability to handle several defensive spots. The 23-year-old infielder gets his first look in the big leagues after batting .303 (30-for-99) with five homers and three steals in 25 games this season for Triple-A Nashville. He slashed a robust .284/.417/.513 with 18 homers and 55 steals in 558 plate appearances last year between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Nashville. He’s absolutely worthy of a speculative roster spot in all fantasy formats. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:14 pm
