• Exits early versus Toronto
Hamilton (undisclosed) was removed from Monday's contest with the Blue Jays in the bottom of the fourth inning, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Hamilton struck out swinging in the top of the fourth inning, exiting the game prior to taking the field in the bottom of the frame. The 26-year-old will finish his day 0-for-2 with two punchouts and an update on his status will likely be provided before the conclusion of Monday's contest. In the meantime, Romy Gonzalez shifted over to shortstop while Enmanuel Valdez entered the lineup at second base. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:29 pm
  • David Hamilton leaves game in fourth inning
David Hamilton left Monday’s game in the fourth inning with an undisclosed injury.

Advice: Enmanuel Valdez replaced him, with Romy Gonzalez moving from second to short. It’d be awful timing for Hamilton to suffer a significant injury, especially after he was just picked up in every league in which he was available. Rotoworld Monday, 5:25 pm
  • Gets another start at 3B
Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Alexander slotted in at third base for the second time in the last five games, as Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo seeks more production from the hot corner. Eugenio Suarez's season-long slump prompted the manager's decision to give Alexander more starts at third base, a position at which Arizona ranks 29th with a .588 OPS. • Causes mayhem on basepaths
Hamilton went 2-for-4 with one walk, one RBI, four stolen bases and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Hamilton led the charge as the Red Sox set a franchise record with nine steals in the contest. The speedy infielder has had great success on the basepaths lately, picking up nine steals over his last nine games. He's up to a .288/.340/.446 slash line with 18 thefts, four home runs, 12 RBI, 25 runs scored, eight doubles and a triple over 150 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:43 pm
  • Two doubles in nightcap
Castro went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in an 8-7 win over the Athletics in Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader.

Advice: Castro went 0-for-3 with a walk in the day game, but he redeemed himself with a strong showing in the nightcap. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last five contests. The 27-year-old is up to a .261/.350/.416 slash line with five home runs, eight stolen bases, 18 RBI, 40 runs scored, 15 doubles and four triples over 71 games this season. Between his speed and his defensive versatility, Castro can provide some quality depth for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:02 pm

  • David Hamilton swipes four bases to lead Red Sox
David Hamilton and the Red Sox ran all over the Yankees in Sunday night’s 9-3 victory over the Yankees, with the 26-year-old speedster nabbing four of his team’s franchise-record nine stolen bases.

Advice: The Red Sox clearly did not respect the battery of Marcus Stroman and Jose Trevino, and they pushed the envelope against them every chance that they had. Hamilton worked a leadoff walk in the third inning, swiped second base and ultimately scored on a double play ground ball off the bat of Rafael Devers. He then led off the fifth inning with a single and immediately stole second and third base before scoring on Devers’ sacrifice fly. He also added an RBI single and a run scored in the eighth inning. Hamilton finished the night 2-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .288/.340/.446 with four homers, 11 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 149 plate appearances on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:19 pm
  • Taking seat Sunday
Loftin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: He'll give way to Garrett Hampson at second base for the series finale. Loftin had manned the keystone in seven of the Royals' previous eight games and should remain Kansas City's primary option at the position until Michael Massey (back) returns from the injured list. • Drawing fourth straight start
Moore will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Moore will pick up his fourth consecutive start in the infield since making his return from the paternity list Thursday. He'll likely serve as the Mariners' primary option at the keystone before moving into a utility role once Jorge Polanco (hamstring) is ready to come off the 10-day injured list. • On bench for matinee
Gelof is not in the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Advice: Gelof will get an extended breather of sorts, having also sat out Saturday, but he will likely be back in there to face Chris Paddack in the nightcap. After breaking out to the tune of an .841 OPS, 14 homers and 14 steals in just 69 games last season, Gelof has struggled to a .558 OPS, five homers and seven steals through 52 games in 2024.
