    • Grayson Rodriguez stumbles early against Red Sox
      Grayson Rodriguez allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Red Sox jumped on Rodriguez early, scoring four runs on five hits in the first two innings, but the 24-year-old responded with four shutout innings to end his day. He also struck out 10 batters and walked just one on the day while posting a 38 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. It mostly came down to location with Rodriguez on Tuesday. The pitches the Red Sox hit hard were either pitches that Rodriguez missed his spots on or pitches early in the count that he was simply trying to throw over the plate.       Skubal won't start as scheduled Tuesday against the Pirates since the game has been postponed due to inclement weather, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

      Suarez earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

      Advice: Suarez was summoned in the ninth frame to protect a one-run lead and had no trouble doing so, retiring the side in order on 14 pitches. The right-hander came into the campaign with a loose grip on the ninth-inning role for the Padres but has emerged as one of the league's top first-half closers with 16 saves (in 16 chances) while posting a 0.73 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 24.2 innings.       Robert Suarez tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Monday.

      Advice: The save was Suarez’ 16th of the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.73 on the season. While the Padres’ closer situation was ambiguous going into the season, Suarez has grabbed the job and run with it to the point where he’s been one of the best closers in all of fantasy this season.       Suarez picked up the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Yankees, striking out two while allowing one run on two hits in 1.1 innings.

      Advice: Suarez came in with two runners on and two out in the eighth to face Aaron Judge and bested him with a strikeout. He returned for the ninth and started off by allowing a home run to Alex Verdugo but was able to get the job done from there. The home run was the first run Suarez has given up since March 28. He continues to be one of the most dominant closers in baseball this year, as he's now tied for third with 15 saves and owns a 0.76 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB in 23.2 innings.       Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out one batter during Sunday's win over Oakland.

      Advice: Hader entered a non-save situation and eventually finished off the 5-2 win, but not before coughing up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers. That homer snapped Hader's 8.1-inning scoreless streak and his seven-inning hitless streak. The veteran southpaw owns a 4.13 ERA with a 38:9 K:BB and seven saves this season.       Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

      Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year. Crochet is at a 3.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 85:14 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Brewers.       Advice: Crochet struck out 11 and walked just one, but the two-run homer he allowed to Adley Rutschman in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the game. The left-hander tied the Orioles up all day, getting 18 whiffs for a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. He now has a 3.68 ERA on the season with 85 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings. Anybody who dropped him after his poor three-start stretch against the Twins, Phillies, and Reds in mid-April is probably kicking themselves now as Crochet has allowed just five total earned runs in six starts since then.
