      Kyle Harrison pitched four-hit ball for seven innings and combined with two relievers on a 5-0 shutout of the Rockies on Tuesday.

      Advice: Ryan Walker and Camilo Doval, who hadn’t pitched in five days, finished up the Giants’ shutout. Harrison struck out just two tonight and gave up a pair of 390-foot flies to Ezequiel Tovar and Jordan Beck, but he was never stressed. The win moves him to 3-1 with a 3.20 ERA.       Grayson Rodriguez (shoulder) continued playing catch on Tuesday.

      Advice: Rodriguez expressed optimism to reporters that he could return to Baltimore’s starting rotation following a minimum stay on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. It certainly doesn’t sound like there are any long-term concerns with the 24-year-old burgeoning ace.       Rodriguez (shoulder) "feels much better" and hopes to be reinstated once he becomes eligible May 15, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reported Tuesday.

      Advice: Rodriguez has battled inflammation in his shoulder throughout May. However, per Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com, his move to the 15-day IL was to prevent the issue from developing into anything more serious, and he could return to the O's without a rehab start.       Wheeler (4-3) earned the win Monday against San Francisco, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts over seven innings.

      Advice: Wheeler didn't allow an earned run for the third time in his last four starts as he shut down the Giants with a season-high 11 strikeouts. After seeing his ERA rise above 3.00 a season ago for the first time since 2019, Wheeler has cruised to a 1.64 ERA across 49.1 innings this season and is tied for the league lead in strikeouts with 63.       Cole Ragans yielded two earned runs on two hits over six innings in a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.

      Advice: It was another stellar outing from Ragans, who now has allowed just four earned runs in his past three starts. The only damage against him came off a Gary Sanchez two-run home run. The 26-year-old southpaw has recorded at least eight punch outs in back-to-back games.       Advice: The lone blemish on Ragans' line Monday was a two-run shot by Gary Sanchez in the fourth inning. After the long ball, Ragans retired the final seven batters he faced, with three coming via strikeout. He matched his season high by forcing 19 whiffs, with nine coming against his changeup. Since getting hammered for seven runs against the Orioles, Ragans has posted a strong 2.04 ERA and 21:8 K:BB over his last three starts.       Zack Wheeler fanned 11 and yielded only an unearned run over seven innings as the Phillies bested the Giants 6-1 on Monday.

      Advice: Wheeler got 16 of his 19 missed swings on fastballs and sinkers today and wound up with an excellent 40% CSW. He’s the easy NL Cy Young favorite at this point, having opened up 4-3 with a 1.64 ERA and a 63/13 K/BB ratio in 49 1/3 innings.       Advice: Ragans experienced cramping in his left calf in his most recent start this past Tuesday against the Blue Jays, but he had already tossed 6.2 innings (105 pitches) and likely wouldn't have stayed in the game any longer even if he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. The Royals didn't suggest that Ragans required any follow-up testing, so he's not expected to face any restrictions as he takes the hill Monday for his eighth start of the season. It was the sixth time in seven games Skubal has allowed two or fewer earned runs, as the outing raised his ERA to 1.90 with a 0.77 WHIP and 53 strikeouts over 42.2 innings.
