Yankees to select contract of Ben Rice on Tuesday
The Yankees will select the contract of catcher/infielder Ben Rice before Tuesday’s game against the Orioles.
Advice: Rice will be called up with Anthony Rizzo heading to the injured list due to the fracture in Rizzo’s arm. The 25-year-old has hit well in his 60 minor-league games in 2024 with a .925 OPS, 15 homers and nine stolen bases. He’s made just 11 appearances above Double-A, but he’s slashed .333/.440/.619 in those chances with three homers in 42 at-bats. Rice has offensive upside, and he’s worth a look in most fantasy formats.
