    • Carlos Correa doubles twice in win over Mariners
Carlos Correa doubled twice with an RBI in a win over the Mariners on Monday.

Advice: Correa got the Twins on the board with an RBI double in the fifth inning. The shortstop also doubled in the seventh and scored the go-ahead run a couple batters later. Correa has doubled four times and is slashing .279/.392/.393 in his limited sample. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Carlos Correa plates two as Twins defeat Red Sox
Carlos Correa went 0-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Saturday as the Twins triumphed over the Red Sox.

Advice: Correa drove in the Twins’ first run in the opening inning with an RBI ground out off of Brennan Bernadino. He then added a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning that extended their lead to 3-1. On the season, the 29-year-old shortstop is now hitting .255/.364/.345 with a homer and seven RBI through his first 16 games. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:52 pm
    • Notches fourth homer
Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Cabrera tagged Corbin Burnes for a two-run shot in the fifth inning, plating Jose Trevino for the Yankees' only runs. The long ball was Cabrera's first since April 13. His two hits were his first of the series, entering Wednesday's contest 0-for-7 in the first two games of the four-game bill. Through 110 plate appearances, Cabrera is slashing .262/.300/.417 with 18 RBI and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:58 pm

    • Oswaldo Cabrera powers Yankees past Orioles
Oswaldo Cabrera swatted a two-run homer off of Corbin Burnes on Wednesday night, powering the Yankees to a 2-0 victory over the Orioles in Baltimore.

Advice: Cabrera accounted for the only scoring for either team in the ballgame, poking a 352-foot (103.3 mph EV) two-out, two-run homer just over the wall in right field and just inside the foul pole to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning. He also singled in the ballgame and swiped a base, finishing the night 2-for-3. On the season, the versatile 25-year-old is now hitting .262/.300/.417 with four homers, 18 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:09 pm

    • Snaps slump Sunday
Volpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run scored, a stolen base and two walks in Sunday's 15-5 rout over Milwaukee.

Advice: After a scorching start to the season, Volpe had fallen back a bit in the second half of April, as he came into Sunday batting .157 with no homers and a 30.9 percent strikeout rate over 12 games since April 15. He turned things around -- at least temporarily -- by reaching four times against Milwaukee on Sunday, with his fifth-inning three-run homer opening the floodgates for a Yankees offensive outburst late in the contest. Despite his recent slump, Volpe still has strong overall numbers on the campaign -- he's slashing .282/.368/.418 with three home runs, 13 RBI, 20 runs and seven stolen bases through 126 plate appearances. • Carlos Correa (intercostal) officially off of IL
Twins activated INF Carlos Correa off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Correa ended up missing a couple of weeks with his intercostal strain. The infielder is back with Austin Martin heading back to Triple-A in the corresponding transaction. Now that Correa is back, he’ll play everyday at shortstop and hit in the middle of the Minnesota lineup. Rotoworld Monday, 1:15 pm
    • Comes off IL
The Twins reinstated Correa (intercostal) from the 10-day injured list Monday.

Advice: Correa ended up spending about two and a half weeks on the IL after being deactivated April 13 with a right intercostal strain. Though he wasn't sent out on a minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated, Correa should immediately take back an everyday role at shortstop as he rejoins the active roster ahead of Monday's series opener versus the White Sox. Outfielder Austin Martin was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:58 am
    • Slated to return Monday
The Twins will activate Correa (oblique) from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game versus the White Sox, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: Correa will skip a rehab assignment and go ahead and rejoin the major-league roster instead following a two-plus-week absence with a right intercostal strain. Willi Castro has been operating as the Twins' everyday shortstop since Correa went down with the injury but will now re-enter the mix for starts at third base and also the outfield. • Correa (intercostal) expected to be activated Mon.
Carlos Correa (intercostal) is expected to be activated Monday.

Advice: Nothing is official yet, but Dan Hayes of The Athletic also hears that Austin Martin is expected to be optioned to Triple-A. Correa has been sidelined for a couple of weeks with a right intercostal strain, and will try to help keep the Twins’ hot streak going. Rotoworld Monday, 10:24 am
