    • Mashes eighth homer
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani kicked off the bottom of the third with a leadoff home run, jumping on a hanging four-seamer from Bryce Elder to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. The superstar slugger also drove in a second run on a single in the fourth before finishing the contest with three hits for the fourth time this season. Ohtani has now driven in at least one run in eight of his last 11 games and extended his hitting streak to four games with Saturday's performance. Rotowire.com Today, 7:45 am

    • Crushed by Rangers
Wacha (1-4) took the loss against Texas on Saturday, allowing seven runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 3.2 innings.

Advice: Wacha exited with two outs in the fourth inning after giving up singles to four of the final five batters he faced. The seven runs were a season high for the right-hander, while his three punchouts tied a season low. Wacha was doing fine with a 3.81 ERA through his first five starts this season, but that number has since ballooned to 5.50 as a result of the veteran hurler giving up 11 earned runs over 9.1 innings across his past two appearances. • Shohei Ohtani goes deep in Dodgers’ rout of Braves
Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Dodgers’ lopsided win over the Braves.

Advice: Ohtani connected for a third-inning round-tripper off Braves starter Bryce Elder and also added an RBI single in the ensuing frame. The 29-year-old two-way superstar has been phenomenal in his Dodgers debut so far, batting .345/.411/.633 with 28 runs scored, eight homers, 22 RBI and seven steals in 159 plate appearances. • Michael Wacha lit up for seven runs in loss
Michael Wacha was torched for a season-high seven runs over 3 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Wacha was lit up for nine hits in this one, which makes it even more remarkable that none of them wound up leaving the yard. The 32-year-old righty struck out three and only issued one walk. He’ll aim for better results his next time out on Thursday against the Angels in Los Angeles. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:48 pm
    • Takes batting practice
Heyward (back) took batting practice on the field prior to Saturday's game against Atlanta, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Hewyard was cleared to begin baseball activities Friday, and Saturday marked the first time he has taken batting practice since landing on the injured list April 3. The veteran outfielder still doesn't have a clear return timeline, but he may move onto simulated games if his back is able to hold up after a few rounds of BP. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:47 pm

    • Notches two steals Friday
Ohtani went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases Friday in a 4-3 extra-innings victory versus Atlanta.

Advice: Ohtani's first theft came in the third inning, and it led to Los Angeles' first run, as Will Smith followed with a two-out RBI single. It looked like Ohtani would be picked off in the eighth frame, but Matt Olson mishandled the throw to first base, allowing the Japanese superstar to make it to second base safely. Ohtani later came up with a huge hit in the bottom of the 10th, stroking a one-out single to center field to plate the tying run after Atlanta had scored in the top of the frame. Ohtani continues to put up big numbers for the Dodgers and for fantasy managers, as he's slashing .336/.405/.612 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs and seven steals (in seven attempts) through 153 plate appearances. • Picks up seventh steal
Altuve went 1-for-4 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve had a productive day from the leadoff spot that included the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning. He also stole his seventh bag of the season and third in his last two contests. Altuve has seven homers across 146 plate appearances and is batting .348, providing excellent production across the board. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 am

    • Effective in no-decision
Morton did not factor into the decision Friday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Morton held the vaunted Dodgers lineup in check, delivering his third straight quality start. Over those three starts, the 40-year-old has thrown 19 innings with a 1.89 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB. Morton is slated to face the Mets on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:33 pm
    • Charlie Morton holds LAD to two runs in no-decision
Charlie Morton gave up two runs in six innings against the Dodgers on Friday while not factoring into the decision.

Advice: Morton continues his good run, but it comes without a win as Atlanta didn’t provide him the necessary run support. The right-hander lowered his season ERA to 3.50 while scattering five hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Morton didn’t look good in the middle of April, but the 40-year-old has been a very strong option outside of those two outings where he gave up 12 of the 14 runs he’s given up in 2024. He gets the Mets on Friday. Rotoworld Friday, 10:15 pm
