    • Blasts pair of home runs
Happ went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Happ's two home runs were the only source of offense for the Cubs in Sunday's loss. He first had a two-run shot off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh before following that up with a solo blast against Ryan Helsley in the ninth. Happ doubled his home run total on the season and put together his first multiple RBI effort since April 16. He now has six hits over his last five games but is still slashing just .224/.335/.362 with 15 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 25 runs and a 27:57 BB:K in 203 plate appearances. • Ian Happ homers twice as Cubs fall to Cardinals
Ian Happ blasted a pair of home runs on Sunday night and drove in three, but it wasn’t enough to power the Cubs to victory over the Cardinals in St. Louis.

Advice: Happ finally got the Cubs on the board with his 409-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of right-hander Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning. He then led off the ninth inning with a 425-foot (107.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Ryan Helsley that pulled the Cubs to within a run at 4-3. That would be as close as they would get. On the season, the 29-year-old outfielder is now hitting .224/.335/.362 with just four homers and 17 RBI. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:20 pm

    • Does it all Sunday
Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's 9-5 win against Washington.

Advice: Rodriguez did it all in this one, establishing a season-best with four RBI and recording a steal for the first time since May 8. The 23-year-old has largely been a disappointment this season, but performances such as this are a reminder of his incredible versatility. With home runs in consecutive games, Rodriguez might finally be heating up for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:21 pm
    • Julio Rodríguez goes 3-for-5, homers in victory
Julio Rodríguez went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI as the Mariners bested the Nationals 9-5 on Sunday.

Advice: Rodríguez’s three knocks all checked in between 107 and 109 mph. The Mariners had him batting third today after placing him sixth the previous three days. Last year, a drop in the lineup saw him hit two homers in his first game as a No. 5 hitter and resulted in an immediate return to the top of the order. This year’s drop didn’t pay such immediate dividends, but he has now homered on back-to-back days. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:59 pm
    • Starling Marte gets Sunday off against Giants
Starling Marte is not in the starting lineup against the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Marte will get a chance to rest after going 2-for-8 in the first two games of the series against San Francisco. The 35-year-old will retreat to the bench with DJ Stewart hitting fifth and playing right field. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:05 am
    • Getting Sunday off
Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against San Francisco.

Advice: Marte will get a breather for the day game after he started in both of the first two games of the series while going 2-for-8 with a solo home run and an additional run. DJ Stewart will check in for Marte in right field. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:34 am
    • Pops third homer
Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: He provided the Mariners' lone run with his third homer of the season and first since May 12. Rodriguez has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments through two months of the 2024 campaign -- even after Saturday's homer, his OPS sits at .618, exactly 200 points below his mark from last season. Manager Scott Servais recently moved Rodriguez down to the No. 6 spot in the lineup, and it looks like that's where the 23-year-old will remain until his bat gets going. • Perfect at plate Saturday
Schwarber went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Schwarber has multiple hits in three of his last five contests, though his double Saturday was his first extra-base hit since May 16. The 31-year-old slugger is up to a .234/.356/.396 slash line with nine home runs, 31 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases over 235 plate appearances this season. Schwarber's drop in power this season isn't a great sign after he exceeded 45 homers in back-to-back years, but he continues to walk (16.2 percent) at a high rate. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:22 pm
    • Schwarber has three-hit game Saturday
Kyle Schwarber went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a sacrifice fly, and two runs scored against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Schwarber’s average is up to .234 on the season, which would be his best since 2021. Unfortunately, he’s having the worst power season of his career. Schwarber has nine home runs, but his .157 ISO this season is the lowest of his career. He’s hit at least 46 home runs in each of the last two seasons and has a career .259 ISO so a power surge could be on the way.
