    • Shuts down Dodgers
Gausman (1-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks across seven innings against the Dodgers. He struck out five.

Advice: The lone run against Gausman came in the sixth inning on a homer by Freddie Freeman. After allowing 12 earned runs over 7.1 innings in his first three starts, Gausman has rounded into form with just two earned runs allowed across 18.2 frames since. He'll look to keep the ball rolling during a weekend road series against the Nationals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:54 pm
    • Kenley Jansen earns victory against Cubs on Sunday
Kenley Jansen picked up his first victory of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Cubs.

Advice: Jansen took over with the score tied 4-4 heading to the top half of the ninth inning. He did his job, retiring Dansby Swanson, Nick Madrigal and Miguel Amaya in order. The 36-year-old right-hander then became the beneficiary when the Red Sox walked it off in the home half of the frame. For the season, he now holds a 1.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a 14/8 K/BB ratio over 9 2/3 innings while converting five of his first six save opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:55 pm
    • Starting Tuesday
Turnbull will start Tuesday's game against the Angels, with Zack Wheeler getting moved back a day and Aaron Nola moved back to Friday, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Advice: Manager Rob Thomson said that he wanted to give Wheeler and Nola the extra rest days, and that he's not inclined to go with a six-man rotation. However, this buys him another start to compare Turnbull against Taijuan Walker and allows people to use Turnbull for another week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:06 pm
    • Struggles in Milwaukee
Stroman pitched four innings, giving up four runs on six hits and five walks while striking out four in Sunday's 15-5 win over the Brewers. He did not factor into the decision.

Advice: Stroman was able to survive four scoreless frames to open Sunday's outing before the wheels fell off in the bottom of the fifth. He allowed all five batters he faced in the inning to reach base, including a three-run home run by Jake Bauers, which knotted the game up at 4-4. The 32-year-old has now surrendered five total homers over his last four starts after not giving one up in either of his first two outings in 2024. Stroman now owns a 3.69 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 32 strikeouts over 31.2 innings in six starts this season, and he's tentatively set to return to the mound Friday home for a matchup against the Tigers. • Luis Campusano belts three-run homer in loss
Luis Campusano went 1-for-2 and belted a three-run homer as the Padres fell to the Phillies on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

Advice: Campusano entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kyle Higashioka in the seventh inning and responded by crushing a 397-foot (106.2 mph EV) three-run blast off of Taijuan Walker that pulled the Padres to within a run at 7-6. That would be as close as they would get. The 25-year-old backstop is now hitting .290/.320/.430 with a pair of homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:22 pm
    • Marcus Stroman can’t survive fifth versus Brewers
Marcus Stroman yielded four runs and five walks in four-plus innings Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: Stroman kept pitching out of trouble early, but the fifth started with a walk, an infield single, an RBI double, a three-run homer and another walk before he was finally pulled. In all, Stroman allowed six hits, walked five and hit a batter. He seems pretty lucky to have a 3.69 ERA through six starts. Last year, he had a 3.95 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP with just nine homers allowed in 136 2/3 innings. His WHIP is 1.43 at the moment, and he’s given up five homers in 31 2/3 innings. • Anthony Volpe homers, reaches four times
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and two walks Sunday against the Brewers.

Advice: A much-improved game for Volpe, who came into the day 7-for-47 with no homers and a 16/1 K/BB ratio in his previous 11 games. The Yankees haven’t wavered on using him as a leadoff man, even though he’s mostly struggled since moving up two weeks into the season. It’s definitely best for his fantasy value if they keep him there. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:13 pm

    • Christopher Morel returns to Cubs lineup on Sunday
Christopher Morel (hip, elbow) returned to the Cubs’ starting lineup on Sunday.

Advice: Morel was pulled from Saturday’s game after colliding with teammate Alexander Canario in the outfield, but aside from being a bit banged up he’s good to go. Morel is starting at the hot corner and batting cleanup against Tanner Houck and the Red Sox on Sunday night. On the season, the 24-year-old slugger is hitting .219/.296/.365 with three homers, 12 RBI and one stolen base through 26 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:02 pm
    • Managing back tightness
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Kimbrel was removed from Sunday's game against the A's due upper-back tightness, though the skipper isn't sure if the injury will be an ongoing issue, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kimbrel suffered his second straight blown save Sunday as he allowed a walk and a two-run homer to the only two batters he faced before he exited with the injury. The 35-year-old will continue to be evaluated over the next couple of days, and it remains to be seen if a trip to the injured list will be necessary. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:58 pm
