Nolan Gorman is not in the Cardinals’ starting lineup on Thursday.

Gorman has been a good source of power this season with 16 home runs, but he’s also hitting .191 on the season with a 36 percent strikeout rate and has been worse in June with a .148 average and 38 percent strikeout rate in 24 games. However, he also has four steals in June, which has saved his fantasy value a bit, but he’s hard to roster in batting average leagues if you have ample power because of the drain he puts on your team with his average. Advice: Stone was spectacular Wednesday, matching his season high with seven strikeouts en route to recording the first complete game of his major-league career. The right-hander retired the side in order in five of his nine frames and didn't allow a runner to reach second base outside of a leadoff double from Gavin Sheets to open the second. Stone has now won each of his last five decisions (spanning six starts) and has also posted at least six strikeouts in five of his last six outings. Helsley allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in a 4-1 win over Atlanta in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Advice: Helsley was summoned to close it out in the ninth with a three-run lead against the Braves. He recorded the first out, then allowed two runners on with a single and a walk. Advice: Gorman homered four times in a three-game span from June 2-4. Since then, he’s 6-for-71 with two extra-base hits (both homers) and a 30/4 K/BB ratio.
