    • Fans eight in loss
Rodon allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings in a loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Advice: Though he logged his fourth straight defeat, this was a bounce-back effort of sorts for Rodon after he surrendered 21 runs (20 earned) over 13.2 innings across his previous three starts. The veteran hurler did, however, continue to struggle with the long ball Wednesday, yielding multiple homers for the third straight outing. Rodon has given up seven home runs during that three-game stretch, and his 18 homers allowed on the campaign is tied for third-most in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 12:23 am

    • Continues to roll with 19th save
Diaz earned a save against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one walk in a scoreless inning.

Advice: Diaz entered in the ninth frame to protect a one-run lead and was successful despite issuing a leadoff walk. The Cincinnati closer has tossed seven straight scoreless outings, allowing just one hit during that span while recording five saves. Diaz has rebounded well from his early-season struggles, as he's been successful in each of his past 13 save opportunities and has registered a 1.53 ERA across 17.2 frames over that stretch. • Freddie Freeman reaches four times, homers Wednesday
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-2 with a three-run homer and two walks against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: Freeman put the Dodgers on the board with a three-run blast off Cristian Mena in the first inning. He then drew a pair of walks and added a base hit in the eighth to reach in all four plate appearances. The 34-year-old first baseman is hitting .302/.404/.516 with 13 homers, 54 runs scored, 56 RBI, and three steals across 381 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:38 pm

    • Gavin Stone struggles against Diamondbacks
Gavin Stone allowed four runs with three strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

Advice: This wasn’t one Stone’s best outings as the Diamondbacks chased him after just three frames. A base hit and two walks loaded the bases before the Diamondbacks brought a run in on a sacrifice fly in the first inning. He worked around a bases-loaded jam in the second, then gave up three runs, including a two-run blast by Gabriel Moreno, in the third. That was it for Stone, ending his day with a 3.03 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 73/28 K/BB ratio across 92 innings. He’ll take on the Phillies in Philadelphia on Tuesday. • Big effort in win
Greene went 3-for-4 with a triple, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Greene was an offensive force as he recorded his 16th home run of the season and pushed his OPS up to .851. The 23-year-old had already surpassed his previous career best of 11 home runs in a season, and he's now up to a career-high 43 RBI this year as well after Wednesday's effort. Greene could be closing in on his first All-Star appearance, but at the very least he's been a strong fantasy asset who continues to trend upward given his promising skill set. • Collects 13th save
Alvarado allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: This was Alvarado's first save since June 11, as Jeff Hoffman and Seranthony Dominguez had poached the last three saves. Alvarado remains the Phillies' top closer with 13 saves on the year, with Hoffman (seven), Gregory Soto (two) and Dominguez (one) rounding out the high-leverage group. Over 35 innings this season, Alvarado has maintained a strong 3.09 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 38:12 K:BB. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm
    • José Alvarado silences Cubs to net 13th save
José Alvarado fired a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Cubs to record his 13th save of the season.

Advice: Alvarado was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning at Wrigley Field and managed to work around a one-out single by David Bote to preserve the victory. The 29-year-old lefty has converted 13 of his 15 save opportunities this season for Philadelphia. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:53 pm
    • Riley Greene has three hits, homer in lopsided win
Riley Greene went 3-for-4 with a homer, triple and two RBI on Wednesday evening, helping to lead the Tigers to victory over the Twins.

Advice: Greene smacked a two-out triple in the first inning, but the Tigers were unable to cash him in. He then reached on an infield single to load the bases with two outs in the third inning, then rode home on Carson Kelly’s grand slam. He also clubbed a 427-foot (111.8 mph EV) two-run blast off of David Festa in the fifth inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 7-1. With the three-hit attack, the dynamic 23-year-old outfielder is now hitting .260/.354/.497 with a team-leading 16 homers, 43 RBI and four stolen bases on the year. • Alexis Díaz quiets Yankees to notch 19th save
Alexis Díaz tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Yankees to record his 19th save of the season.

Advice: Díaz was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the final frame at Yankee Stadium and immediately got into trouble by issuing a leadoff walk to light-hitting backstop Austin Wells. Fortunately, he managed to wriggle out of the jam by coaxing a double-play ball from ensuing batter Anthony Volpe before getting Juan Soto to fly out to extinguish the threat. He’s converted 19 of 21 save opportunities this season for Cincinnati. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm
