    • Won't require rehab stint
Harrison (ankle) will throw one more bullpen session then rejoin the rotation during the Giants' six-game road trip that begins Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Harrison hasn't seen any in-game action since June 10 due to a sprained right ankle, but he'll be ready to return to the Giants rotation after completing several bullpen sessions. While it's unclear when he'll be slotted to start, the 22-year-old is most likely to pitch during a three-game series in Cleveland next weekend. Prior to the injury, Harrison turned in a 3.96 ERA and a 68:22 K:BB across 77.1 innings. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago

    • Kyle Harrison unlikely to require rehab start
Kyle Harrison (ankle) is not expected to require a minor league rehab start before rejoining the Giants’ rotation.

Advice: Harrison threw a bullpen session without issue on Friday. He’ll repeat the process again in a few days and if all goes well it sounds like he’ll be cleared to rejoin the Giants’ rotation. The 22-year-old hurler holds a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 68/22 K/BB ratio over 77 1/3 innings through his first 14 starts on the season. Rotoworld 12 minutes ago

    • Sitting Saturday as expected
Candelario (hamstring) isn't in the Reds' lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Manager David Bell said Friday that Candelario is trending toward a return for Sunday's series finale, so it isn't too surprising to see the 30-year-old infielder absent from Saturday's lineup. Spencer Steer will once again get the nod at first base, and Noelvi Marte will cover the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 8:49 am

    • George Springer in Saturday’s lineup vs. Yankees
George Springer (hand) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: This certainly qualifies as a welcome surprise for fantasy managers following Springer’s early exit from Friday’s game against the Yankees after being hit on his left hand by a 93.5 mph fastball. The positive news here is that precautionary X-rays came back negative for any fractures and the fact that he’s already back in the lineup means that the swelling isn’t bad enough that it’s preventing him from gripping a bat. It’s been a down year offensively for the 34-year-old veteran outfielder, but the Blue Jays need his bat in the lineup if they’re going to have any shot at turning things around before the trade deadline. • Jeimer Candelario sitting out Saturday vs. Cards
Jeimer Candelario (knee) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Cardinals.

Advice: As expected, Candelario is sitting out Saturday’s contest due to right knee tendinitis, but there’s optimism he’ll be ready to return for Sunday’s series finale. Rotoworld Today, 8:31 am

    • In lineup Saturday after HBP
Springer (hand) is starting in right field and batting fifth for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Springer left in the seventh inning of Friday's 16-5 loss to the Yankees after taking a fastball of his left hand in the bottom of the fifth. Springer is hitting .207 for the season, but over his last five games he's gone 8-for-19 with three home runs and 10 RBI. He'll face off against Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes on Saturday. • Blows save, grabs win Friday
Doval (3-1) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over over inning, blowing a save but earning the win Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval allowed a triple to Andy Pages, who came home on a Jason Heyward sacrifice fly that tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. The Giants then got a walk-off home run from Brett Wisely to make Doval the pitcher of record despite his poor outing. He's given up nine runs over nine innings in June, though a pair of four-run meltdowns account for much of that damage. He hasn't been dominant this season with a 4.55 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 39:21 K:BB while converting 14 of 17 save chances over 31.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm

    • Camilo Doval blows save, still gets win vs. LAD
Camilo Doval gave up a run and blew a save Friday, but picked up the win against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval gets the win because the stat is flawless and baseball is a fair and just sport. The right-hander gave up a triple to James Outman, and a sac fly from Jason Heyward tied the game at 3-3. That’s the third blown save of the year for Doval, who has provided more good than bad for fantasy managers in 2024 despite his 4.55 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:11 pm

    • Tallies homer, three RBI
Pasquantino went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win against Cleveland.

Advice: After cracking a RBI single in the third inning, Kansas City first baseman popped a two-run homer in the eighth for his ninth of the season. Pasquantino has struggled lately as this marked his first multi-RBI game since June 13 against the Yankees. Overall, the 26-year-old sports a .237/.314/.420 slash line across 328 plate appearances with 53 RBI and 37 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 pm
