    • Blaze Alexander goes 3-for-4 in Diamondbacks’ win
Blaze Alexander went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored as the Diamondbacks bested the Giants 8-5 on Tuesday.

Advice: Alexander was an afterthought in May, but he’s started four straight games to open June and gone 8-for-16 to push his average up to .296. The Diamondbacks clearly aren’t sold on him as an option at shortstop and they have Geraldo Perdomo coming back anyway, so Alexander has to hit to force Torey Lovullo to use him. It’s working right now, but as soon as he turns in a couple of 0-for-4s, he’ll probably head back to the bench. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

    • Mike Yastrzemski hits three-run homer off bench
Mike Yastrzemski delivered a three-run homer as a pinch-hitter Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Here’s the one player Bob Melvin wasn’t mad at after Tuesday’s loss. The homer was Yastrzemski’s sixth of the year. He might be challenged for playing time against righties with Michael Conforto back, but the Giants will likely stick with him unless both Luis Matos and Heliot Ramos can give them good reason not to. Yastrzemski didn’t start tonight because Arizona was throwing a lefty. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
    • Drives in pair
Lee went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Lee delivered a timely two-RBI double in the fourth inning and came around to score in the same frame. It was only his third performance of the season with multiple runs driven in and his first since May 4. Lee has now started six consecutive games, four of which have come at catcher and two at designated hitter. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

    • Drives in five vs. Marlins
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, a two-run double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over Miami.

Advice: It was a big night for Lowe in his first start this year against a left-hander -- the second baseman tied the game 3-3 with a three-run homer off Jesus Luzardo in the fourth inning before adding two more RBI with a double in the fifth. The home run was the second of the season for Lowe, his first since March 29, after spending over a month on the IL with an oblique injury. He's now slashing .203/.320/.406 with 13 RBI and eight runs scored across 75 plate appearances on the campaign. Rotowire.com 47 minutes ago

    • Josh Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Mariners’ victory
Josh Rojas finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI versus the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first three-hit game for Rojas since May 5, when he raised his average to .360. He’s hit just .229/.275/.282 in 85 plate appearances since that date, but it’s been enough to keep him starting against righties for now. The Mariners could reevaluate that after Jorge Polanco returns. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Dominic Canzone goes 0-for-4 against A’s
Dominic Canzone went 0-for-4 and struck out twice against the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: Canzone has to be on thin ice at this point; he’s 2-for-29 with one RBI since May 21. The Mariners keep playing him in part because his defense is better than Mitch Haniger’s, but that’s an awfully low bar, and if he’s not hitting, they’d almost surely be better off with one of their other several mediocre outfield options. • Gets look as leadoff hitter
Julks went 1-for-5 with a double Tuesday against the Cubs.

Advice: Even with the return of Luis Robert, the White Sox's outfield remains shorthanded without Andrew Benintendi (Achilles) and Tommy Pham (ankle). As a result, Julks has started 10 consecutive games, during which he's gone 11-for-39 with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. Most notable on Tuesday was that Julks took over as the team's leadoff hitter in the absence of Pham. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Keeps surging Tuesday
Gorman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gorman has upped the power over the last week with six homers and 10 RBI over his last seven contests. That's still come with a swing-and-miss risk, as he's struck out 10 times in that span, but that's of little concern when he's making the most of whatever contact he gets. The second baseman is up to 14 homers, 31 RBI, 28 runs scored, two stolen bases, eight doubles and a .235/.320/.508 slash line through 206 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 10:10 pm

    • Goes yard again
Burleson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Burleson's gone deep in three straight games after a stretch of 12 contests without a homer. He continues to look ready for an everyday role, which has come at a convenient time with the Cardinals missing Lars Nootbaar (oblique) and Tommy Edman (wrist). Burleson is up to a .276/.308/.448 slash line with eight homers, 22 RBI, 17 runs scored, two stolen bases and six doubles over 182 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 10:07 pm
