Advice: Irvin entered the seventh with a two-run lead having allowed only a single run, but a leadoff homer in the inning by Jose Caballero cut the lead in half, and the hurler was pulled after facing one more batter prior to the lineup turning back over for the Rays. It was Irvin's first quality start since May 3, though he's allowed no more than three earned runs in each of his last nine games and has posted five scoreless outings during that span. Throughout that stretch, he's thrown 47 innings with a 1.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 30 strikeouts. Nick Lodolo allowed two runs on seven hits in a win over the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: Lodolo struck out three and walked one on the day. Nothing he gave up was hit overly hard, but he also didn’t miss many bats either with just eight whiffs on 42 swings for a 19 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW. Freddy Peralta allowed three runs on four hits in five innings in a win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Peralta was far more good than bad, striking out seven and walking one while allowing an 88.3 mph average exit velocity. He induced 21 whiffs on 56 swings for a 38 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. However, he allowed three hits and a walk in the first inning and then a home run later to Paul DeJong to put a damper on his day. Luis Arraez was removed from Sunday afternoon’s game against the Royals due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Arraez was thrown out at second base attempting to stretch a single into a double in the top half of the fifth inning. He remained in the game for another inning defensively, but was ultimately replaced by Tyler Wade when the Padres took the field in the sixth inning.
