    • Double, RBI in loss
O'Neill went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double and an RBI in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: O'Neill had a terrific first month in a Boston uniform and continues to outperform his career standards. The outfielder has a 1.096 OPS, second in MLB behind only Mookie Betts. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:16 am

    • Tyler O’Neill drives in run, reaches three times
Tyler O’Neill drove in a run while reaching three times in a loss to the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: O’Neill was responsible for the only run of the game for the Red Sox with a double off Kyle Harrison in the third that scored Rafael Devers. O’Neill was also able to draw a pair of walks, and he improves his line in 2024 to .309/.429/.667. Calling his first month-plus as a member of the Red Sox is quite the understatement. • Receiving rest day
Jimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Jimenez's absence from the lineup looks to be a matter of getting some rest for the day game after a night game. He had started in 14 consecutive games since returning from the injured list in mid-April and slashed .255/.328/.436 with three home runs and a stolen base over that span. Robbie Grossman will fill in for Jimenez on Wednesday as Chicago's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:57 am

    • Walks it off
O'Neill went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: O'Neill delivered a walk-off single after the Red Sox squandered a 4-0 lead. His blooper to left against an infield playing in plated Jarren Duran with the winning run. For O'Neil, who was 0-for-3 at the time, the single extended hit streak to seven games, during which he's 11-for-27 with three home runs, five RBI and six runs scored. • Tyler O’Neill delivers walk-off RBI single Sunday
Tyler O’Neill delivered a walk-off RBI single in the ninth inning on Sunday, propelling the Red Sox to a 5-4 victory over the visiting Cubs.

Advice: With runners at the corners and no one out in the ninth inning, O’Neill blooped a splitter from Mark Leiter Jr. off of the outstretched glove of Dansby Swanson and into left field to plate Jarren Duran with the game-winning run. It was his only hit in four at-bats on the evening, though he also drew a walk in the contest. For the season, the 28-year-old slugger is now hitting .329/.447/.729 with nine long balls, 12 RBI and a stolen base. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:05 pm

    • Stays hot against Tampa Bay
Jimenez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Jimenez was able to single and then come around to score on an RBI single by Robbie Grossman in the bottom of the fourth. He later added two more base knocks in the contest, notching his second straight multi-hit performance and his fourth in the last nine games. Over that stretch, Jimenez has batted .351 with three home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored, three walks and a stolen base over 37 at-bats. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:47 pm

    • Eloy Jiménez goes 3-for-4 in Rays’ victory
Eloy Jiménez had three singles in four at-bats against the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: It’s his first three-hit game since he had four hits last Aug. 30. He went 6-for-14 with a homer and a double in three-game sweep of the Rays, raising his OPS from .613 to .759. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:02 pm

    • On bench again Sunday
Melendez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: After he surprisingly found himself on the bench Saturday against right-hander Casey Mize, the lefty-hitting Melendez's absence from the lineup Sunday is more expected with ace southpaw Tarik Skubal starting for Detroit. Melendez still looks to have a hold on a strong-side platoon role in the Kansas City outfield, though his grip on a regular job may be loosening in the wake of his poor start to the season. He enters Sunday's contest slashing .198/.278/.407 on the campaign through 90 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:28 am

    • Cranks ninth home run
O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: O'Neill got the scoring started with a blast over the Green Monster in the bottom of the first inning. It was the first home run this season for the 28-year-old that wasn't a solo shot. O'Neill also added a double, a single and a walk. Only Mike Trout (10) has gone deep more times so far this season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:49 pm
