    • Yields four runs
Sanchez allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks over five-plus innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the loss to the Angels.

Advice: Sanchez gave up a run in each of the first two innings. He then kept the Angels quiet until he was charged with two more runs without recording an out in the sixth. It was the first time this season Sanchez has allowed more than three earned runs in an outing. He tied his lowest strikeout total and forced just a single swinging strike in the subpar performance. The 27-year-old lefty now owns a 3.68 ERA with a 29:13 K:BB through 29.1 innings. Sanchez is currently in line for a home start next week against the Giants. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Belts fourth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Nationals.

Advice: He spoiled Jake Irvin's attempt at a shutout by launching a fastball over the fence in center field in the sixth inning. Chisholm has gone yard in back-to-back games on the heels of a 17-game homer drought, and the 26-year-old could be catching fire. On the season, he's slashing .245/.339/.406 with four homers, five steals, 13 runs and 17 RBI in 29 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 7:40 pm

    • Nolan Jones likely headed to IL with back injury
Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports that Nolan Jones (back) is likely headed to the injured list.

Advice: Jones was removed from Sunday’s game with stiffness in his back. The 25-year-old will be replaced on the roster by prospect Jordan Beck, with the transaction likely announced Tuesday. Jones has been a disappointment this year, and now he’ll miss at least a week while recovering from the back ailment. Rotoworld Today, 7:39 pm

    • Jazz Chisolm Jr. provides only runs in loss to Nats
Jazz Chisolm Jr. went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in a loss to the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Déjà vu. Jazz has homered in back-to-back games. The 26-year-old got Miami on the board in the sixth inning when he took Jake Irvin’s fastball 414 feet to deep center field. Chisolm got off to a slow start this season, where he saw his batting average as low as .130 seven games into the season. However, he’s been able to create contact and get on base bringing his batting line to .248/.342/.410 with four homers and 17 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 6:06 pm

    • Blaze Alexander batting lead-off for Diamondbacks
Blaze Alexander is making his first start in the leadoff spot in the lineup on Monday, starting at designated hitter against the Dodgers.

Advice: Jake McCarthy has been hitting lead-off for Arizona over the last week, but he doesn’t play against left-handed pitchers. The last time he sat, it was Ketel Marte who hit lead-off, but today the Diamondbacks will give Alexander a chance. The rookie is slashing .322/.385/.559 with three home runs, 10 runs scored, and 13 RBI in 20 games this season. If he’s now going to also lead-off against left-handed pitching then his value gets another nice little boost. Randal Grichuk is starting for McCarthy in right field and batting sixth against James Paxton. Rotoworld Today, 12:23 pm

    • Likely headed to IL
The Rockies are expected to place Jones (back) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Zahlmann notes that outfield prospect Jordan Beck is on track to receive a call-up from Triple-A Albuquerque, and given that he suffered a setback with his lingering back injury in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Astros, Jones is an obvious candidate to come off the 26-man active roster in a corresponding move. Jones has been removed from games twice within the past week due to back stiffness, so it makes sense for the Rockies to get out in front of the issue and put him on the shelf for at least the next week and a half so he can rest up and recover. After a breakout 20-20 campaign with the Rockies in 2023, Jones has struggled mightily over the first month of the 2024 season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 while contributing one home run and two stolen bases over 103 plate appearances. • Early exit Sunday
Jones was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Rockies in the seventh inning due to back stiffness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has battled back stiffness since Tuesday and was forced to miss two games with the issue. After managing to play the entirety of Saturday's contest, Jones was back in the starting lineup Sunday but was forced to exit early after going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. The team has not yet decided whether Jones will require a stint on the injured list, but manager Bud Black did say that he is concerned that the issue is recurring. • Launches grand slam
Chisholm reached base three times, going 1-for-3 with a grand slam, two walks and two runs scored during Sunday's loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Chisholm's third blast of the season came off Nationals starter Patrick Corbin and got the Marlins off to a great start, plating four runs prior to the Nationals recording an out. Chisholm, who entered the game with just two hits in his previous 13 at-bats, ended a 17-game homerless drought with the first-inning bomb. His average now stands at .245 with three home runs, 15 RBI, 12 runs scored and five steals, while he's reached base at a career-high .342 clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:07 pm

    • Nolan Jones leaves game with stiff back on Sunday
Nolan Jones was removed from Sunday’s game against the Astros due to stiffness in his back.

Advice: The 25-year-old outfielder has been battling the back issue for a while now and is very frustrated with his latest flareup on Sunday. Rockies’ skipper Bud Black told reporters on Sunday that they’ll determine over the next couple of days whether or not he’ll require a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers who are relying on Jones for next week should be sure to have an alternative option in place. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:25 pm
