    • Homer, five RBI in win
Semien went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, five total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 15-8 victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien led off the game with a solo blast off Ross Stripling before driving in three more runs with a pair of hits in the Rangers' 10-run second inning. Semien would add a fifth RBI with his fourth hit in the fourth. The 33-year-old second-baseman had gone nine games without a homer prior to Wednesday's contest, going 8-for-40 with just two RBI in that span. He's now slashing .266/.314/.449 through 37 games this season with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Today, 3:56 pm

    • Marcus Semien powers Rangers to 15-8 rout of A’s
Marcus Semien went 4-for-5 with a leadoff homer and five RBI on Tuesday, powering the Rangers to a 15-8 blowout victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien set the tone with a leadoff blast -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- off Athletics starter Ross Stripling before adding a pair of run-scoring hits as part of Texas’ 10-run explosion in the ensuing frame. The 33-year-old ironman has shown zero signs of slowing down as he approaches his mid-30’s, batting .266 (42-for-158) with 27 runs scored, six homers, 27 RBI and one stolen base through 37 contests. • Taking swings in cage
Manager Scott Servais said Tuesday that Crawford (oblique) took swings in the batting cages at the team's complex in Arizona, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Servais added that Crawford will progress to hitting on the field with the hopes of swinging at full strength this weekend. If the 29-year-old shortstop is able to do that without any problems, he will embark on a brief rehab assignment before returning to the Mariners' lineup. Crawford had gone 5-for-16 with four RBI across his last four games before landing on the injured list April 25. Rotowire.com Today, 3:03 pm

    • Sitting again Tuesday
Soler (shoulder) isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Although Soler's shoulder injury has now kept him out of the lineup for three consecutive games, the Giants have not said anything that would suggest a future move to the IL for the 32-year-old slugger. His absence Tuesday will allow Wilmer Flores to serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:24 pm

    • Jorge Soler (shoulder) out Tuesday vs. Rockies
Jorge Soler (shoulder) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s a tough break for fantasy managers as Soler will wind up missing an extremely favorable matchup against Rockies righty Dakota Hudson at Coors Field. The 32-year-old righty has been out since last weekend due to right shoulder soreness. He remains day-to-day for now. It’s possible he’ll be available off the bench, but that remains to be seen. It’ll be Wilmer Flores at designated hitter in his absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:22 pm

    • Drives in run in return
Ruiz (wrist) went 0-for-2 with an RBI sacrifice fly in a loss to the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Ruiz returned after a one-game absence due to a wrist injury he suffered Saturday and was able to contribute an RBI for the third consecutive contest. The 25-year-old outfielder has demonstrated a slight uptick in pop during the first month-plus of the season and appears to have moved past the wrist issue, given he drew the start in left field Monday. • Maikel Garcia drives in two in win against MIL
Maikel Garcia went 1-for-2 with a two-run RBI single to help lift the Royals to a 3-2 win versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done. Garcia got great contact on a sinker off Elvis Peguero in the sixth inning that got in between shortstop and second base. According to Statcast, the hit probability was just 41%, but with an exit velocity of 106.5 MPH, Garcia definitely earned the hit. The 24-year-old is slashing .236/.292/.671 with four homers and 22 RBI this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:36 pm

    • Nick Castellanos finally collects first double
Nick Castellanos doubled, singled and walked twice versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Each time it looks like Castellanos might be turning the corner, he’s gone right back to slumping the next day. Still, this rates as his best game so far this season. The double was hit 389 feet and would have been a homer in nine ballparks. Incredibly, it was the first two-bagger of the year for a guy who once had 58 of them. He finished with 37 last season. • Back in starting nine Monday
Ruiz (wrist) will start in left field and bat leadoff in Monday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: After he was pulled from Saturday's 20-4 win over the Marlins with a wrist injury, Ruiz was sent in for an MRI, but the imaging evidently revealed nothing concerning. The speedy outfielder will slot back in atop the lineup with Oakland facing a left-hander (Andrew Heaney) on Monday, but Ruiz still looks as though he'll be limited to a short-side platoon role that will limit his opportunities to play against right-handed pitching.
