      Baz (elbow/oblique) will start his second rehab outing with Triple-A Durham on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: Baz made his first rehab appearance Saturday and threw 39 pitches. He hasn't started in a big-league game since July 10, 2022, so the Rays will likely be cautious regarding the pace of his buildup. That makes a return in late May realistic. Rotowire.com Today, 8:21 am

    • Season debut coming soon
      Woo (elbow) is expected to rejoin the Mariners' rotation during their upcoming homestand, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.

      Advice: Manager Scott Servais wasn't ready to give an exact date for Woo's return but noted that it will be a day which would allow for an extra day of rest for the team's other starters. That would seem to point to Woo starting Friday against the Athletics, but the exact plans should be revealed soon. Emerson Hancock will be optioned to Triple-A Tacoma when Woo returns.     • Draws another start Friday
      Scott is scheduled to start Friday's game against Atlanta at Citi Field.

      Advice: One of the top pitching prospects in the organization, Scott impressed in his MLB debut this past Saturday against the Rays, striking out six over 6.2 innings while allowing one run on five hits and one walk. Despite his stellar debut and strong track record in the minors, the 24-year-old righty likely won't have much margin for error moving forward if he hopes to maintain a spot in the big-league rotation. The Mets have gotten excellent production from three other rotation members (Luis Severino, Sean Manaea and Jose Butto) this season, and while Jose Quintana has struggled (5.20 ERA, 1.54 WHIP in seven starts), his long track record in the majors as well as his $13 million salary for 2024 likely gives him some level of security. Additionally, the Mets could get Tylor Megill (shoulder) back from the 15-day injured list next week, so a poor outing from Scott on Friday could put him at risk of a demotion to Triple-A Syracuse.       Bradley (pectoral) is likely to make his season debut Friday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

      Advice: He'll slide into the rotation spot vacated by Ryan Pepiot (leg), who is expected to be placed on the IL. Bradley has been out all season with a right pectoral strain but looked terrific in two rehab starts, most recently striking out eight over six frames of one-run ball with Triple-A Durham on May 3.     • Surrenders go-ahead homer
      McArthur (1-2) took the loss and blew the save Tuesday against Milwaukee, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over one inning. He didn't log a strikeout.

      Advice: For a second straight appearance, McArthur took the mound in the ninth with the Royals leading and surrendered a game-altering home run. This time, Willy Adames put the Brewers up 6-5 with a three-run home run that plated William Contreras and Gary Sanchez with two outs. Despite blowing back-to-back saves, fantasy managers shouldn't panic about McArthur considering he hadn't allowed a run in nine consecutive appearances prior to the stretch.     • Smacks three-run homer
      Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Jeffers tagged Emerson Hancock for a three-run shot in the third inning to put the Twins ahead 4-2. The long ball was his second in as many games and extended his streak of games with an extra-base hit to six. During that stretch, Jeffers is 7-for-22 (.318) with eight RBI and four runs scored.     • Excellent against Cincinnati
      Gallen (4-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Reds, allowing one hit and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Gallen had gone 11 days between starts after suffering a hamstring injury on April 26 against Seattle. He certainly looked healthy Tuesday, holding Cincinnati to one hit en route to his third scoreless outing this season. It's an encouraging effort from Gallen, who'd dropped his previous two starts, allowing eight runs over 10 innings in that span. He lowered his ERA to 2.84 with a 1.13 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB across seven starts (38 innings) this year. Gallen's currently in line for a road start Sunday against the Orioles in his next outing.     • Ryan Jeffers homers, drives in three in loss
      Ryan Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Jeffers sent his seventh homer of the season into deep left field to plate Trevor Larnach and Edouard Julien, giving the Twins a 4-2 lead over the Mariners. Jeffers continues to be one of the hottest hitting catchers in the league and is now 6-for-19 with two homers and eight RBI this month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
       
    • James McArthur allows three-run homer to blow save
      James McArthur took his second straight blown save after giving up a three-run homer to Willy Adames against the Brewers on Tuesday.

      Advice: This was worse than Sunday, when he gave up one run in the ninth. McArthur still has a nice 18/3 K/BB ratio in 16 1/3 innings and the homer was only the second he’s given up, so he should be safe for now. That said, it’d be bad if he blew another one right away. John Schreiber is surely next in line for save chances in Kansas City right now. It still doesn’t look like John McMillon, who has been terribly wild in Triple-A, will be a factor anytime soon.
