    • Teoscar Hernández swats ninth homer of season
Teoscar Hernández hit a solo homer while going 2-for-4 in a win over the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: He also singled. It’s the ninth homer of the season for Hernández , and one of four the Dodgers hit off Marlins starter Roddery Muñoz in Monday’s victory. The outfielder has also driven in 26 runs over 37 games with a decent — if unspectacular — slash of .259/.325/.490. So far, so good in Hernández’s first season as a member of the Dodgers. • Freddie Freeman homers as Dodgers top Marlins
Freddie Freeman hit a solo homer in a victory Monday over the Marlins.

Advice: Freeman went back-to-back with Shohei Ohtani, and his solo blast gave the Dodgers a 3-2 lead. The 34-year-old hasn’t shown a ton of pop in the early portion of the year, as it’s just the third homer for the veteran first baseman in 2024. He’s hitting .292 with a .407 on-base percentage, however, and all of those numbers are sure to climb as we get deeper into the year. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Works eighth inning
Duran struck out two batters in a scoreless eighth inning and earned a hold during Monday's win over Seattle.

Advice: Duran was called upon to face the Mariners' 9-1-2 hitters in a 3-1 contest. After earning a save in each of his first two appearances of 2024, he's picked up a hold in his last two games. Duran is the primary closing option in Minnesota but it appears there may be more of a committee than expected. Last season, he converted 27 of 32 saves and picked up only one hold. • Coughs up three runs
Castillo (3-5) yielded three runs on three hits over 6.2 innings Monday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Twins.

Advice: Castillo fired four shutout frames before the Twins broke the scoreless tie in the fifth inning. He later was charged with two more runs in the seventh. Entering Monday's start, Castillo had turned in four straight outings with two or fewer earned runs allowed. He's factored into the decision in each of his eight starts and snapped his three-game winning streak Monday. Despite the up-and-down start to his season, Castillo has registered a solid 3.54 ERA with a 56:11 K:BB through 48.1 innings. His next start is currently projected to be at home against Oakland this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 7:55 pm

    • Punches out five in loss
Anderson (2-4) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 6.1 innings against Pittsburgh. He struck out five.

Advice: Anderson allowed all four runs Monday night on one swing -- a 424-foot grand slam by Edward Olivares in the third inning. Although the Angels southpaw sports a 2.74 ERA in 42.2 innings, tougher times may lie ahead, as he has been aided greatly by a .205 BABIP. Anderson is slated to make his next start against the Royals at home. Rotowire.com Today, 7:08 pm

    • Luis Castillo pitches well, but picks up loss to Twins
Luis Castillo gave up three runs — two earned — over 6 2/3 innings in a loss Monday to the Twins.

Advice: Castillo allowed just an unearned run over the first six, but two more crossed the plate in the seventh. The right-hander struck out seven against three walks, and it was another solid outing for the 31-year-old right-hander. Castillo has a very friendly match-up coming over the weekend against the Athletics. Rotoworld Today, 6:52 pm

    • Tyler Anderson picks up fourth loss against Pirates
Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

Advice: Anderson has recorded a loss in four of his past five starts after picking up back-to-back wins in his first two starts of the season. His ERA has ballooned from 1.78 to 2.74 over his last two starts as the 34-year-old has given up 3 or more earned runs in those contests. After a hot start to the season, it appears regression has hit Anderson, which was to be expected. Rotoworld Today, 6:02 pm

    • Won't start Monday
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Jeffers had started each of Minnesota's last three games -- two at catcher and one at designated hitter -- so his absence from the lineup Monday is likely just a rest day. Christian Vazquez will fill in behind the dish and will bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:46 pm

    • Likely to be activated this week
Bradley (pectoral) has joined the Rays in Tampa Bay and is likely to be activated from the 15-day injured list to make his season debut later this week, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Bradley has been out all season with a right pectoral strain, but he looked good in two rehab starts, most recently yielding just one earned run across six innings while striking out eight with Triple-A Durham this past Friday. The exact date for Bradley's season debut hasn't yet been revealed, but he'll presumably take the hill sometime this weekend against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Today, 12:31 pm
