    • No decision yet on rehab start
The Rangers have yet to decide whether Eovaldi (groin) will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eovaldi has been on the shelf since May 3 with a strained right groin. Though Eovaldi didn't return from the IL in the minimum 15 days like manager Bruce Bochy had initially suggested could be the case, the veteran right-hander might be able to avoid a rehab assignment prior to being activated. He traveled with the Rangers this weekend and threw a bullpen session Friday at Target Field, and he'll presumably be reassessed when the team returns to Arlington ahead of its two-game home series versus the Diamondbacks that begins Tuesday. • Suffers second defeat
Yamamoto (5-2) suffered the loss Sunday against the Reds, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Yamamoto was done in by a lack of run support combined with a tough-luck four-run third inning. Yamamoto recorded two outs in the third but an infield single by Jake Fraley extended the inning while loading the bases and was followed by consecutive two-run singles by Jonathan India and Nick Martini. The outing marked Yamamoto's first defeat since the first game of the season and came on the heels of an impressive five-game stretch where Yamamoto went 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31 strikeouts across 32 innings. His next start is scheduled to take place next weekend when the Dodgers welcome the division-rival Rockies to Chavez Ravine. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:30 pm

    • Continues power surge
Seager went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

Advice: Seager had just two homers through the end of April, but his power swing has returned in a big way. The shortstop has clubbed six homers over his last six games and is now at 11 long balls on the year. He's also gone 13-for-37 (.351) during a 10-game hitting streak. Seager's surge has him up to a .258/.349/.447 slash line with 24 RBI, 25 runs scored, no stolen bases and three doubles through 49 contests overall. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:40 pm

    • Corey Seager homers twice in win
Corey Seager went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in the Rangers 6-2 win over the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Seager is blazing hot right now with six home runs in his last six games after hitting just five in his first 43. There was never any concern with Seager’s bat, but it’s nice to see this power surge after a slow first month. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:31 pm

    • Hits go-ahead blast
Santander went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Santander put the Orioles ahead with the second of their three homers in the eighth inning. He's gone 3-for-15 with two homers and four RBI over his last four contests. The outfielder is up to a .205/.284/.432 slash line with nine long balls, 29 RBI, 25 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 197 plate appearances. Santander started three of the last four games in right field before resting his legs as the designated hitter Saturday, so it looks like he's moved past the bruised knee that bothered him earlier in the week. • Blake Snell activated off of paternity list
Giants activated LHP Blake Snell off the paternity list.

Advice: Snell was away from the team for three days. He’s back and will make a start this week against the Phillies. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:02 am

    • Returns from paternity list
Snell (personal) was reinstated from the paternity list Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, Snell is still awaiting the birth of his baby, despite stepping away from the team for the last three days in anticipation of welcoming a new addition to his family. The left-hander was placed on the paternity list a day after he made his most recent start Wednesday against the Pirates, but he won't end up missing a turn now that he's back on the active roster. He's expected to take the hill Monday against the Phillies, though he could go back on the paternity list during the upcoming week if his child ends up being born. • Resting Sunday
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: After starting at catcher in the last five games, Smith will get a break for the day game as the team finishes out its series in Cincinnati. Austin Barnes will get the start behind home plate and will bat ninth in place of Smith. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:26 am

    • Springer, Kiermaier not starting Sunday vs. Tigers
George Springer is not in the lineup for Sunday’s tilt against the Tigers.

Advice: Both Springer and Kevin Kiermaier are not in the lineup for the series finale against the Tigers. Daulton Varsho is handling center field while Cavan Biggio gets the start in right field. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:17 am
