    • Punches out eight
Eovaldi didn't factor into the decision during Friday's victory over Cincinnati, giving up one earned run on three hits and five walks while striking out eight batters across six innings.

Advice: Coming off back-to-back losses, the 34-year-old righty found himself working from behind early after Elly De La Cruz walked and later stole home to score the first run of the game in the first inning. Eovaldi was able to regroup quickly and stifle the Reds' bats for the next five frames, though his struggles with limiting walks carried over from his previous start. He now owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP alongside a 36:17 K:BB through 36 innings in six games, and he'll look to pick up his second win of the season Thursday against the Nationals. • Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t let walks get him down
Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

Advice: All three hits Eovaldi allowed were singles, and he struck out eight. Eovaldi wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA through six starts. He’s due to face the Nationals next. Rotoworld Friday, 11:22 pm

    • Punches out 10 in win
Nola (4-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over eight innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nola was terrific Friday, posting his first double-digit strikeout game since July 4, 2023. He threw 74 of 106 pitches for strikes and forced 14 whiffs in the victory. The veteran righty had yielded just one run through six frames before Graham Pauley's two-run shot in the seventh inning. Since coughing up six earned runs in his season debut, Nola has posted a stifling 1.29 ERA with a 33:10 K:BB over his last five starts (35 innings). He'll carry a 3.23 ERA into his next appearance, which is projected to come on the road against the Angels next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:28 pm

    • Aaron Nola whiffs 10 in victory over Padres
Aaron Nola picked up 10 strikeouts over eight innings of three-run baseball to get a win over the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Nola scattered seven hits allowed with one walk. The only real damage was a two-run homer by Graham Pauley, and that was in the seventh inning with the Padres trailing 9-1. Nola has now gone eight innings in back-to-back starts, and he’s posted a strong 3.20 ERA through the first month of the season. The Angels are next for the right-hander. • Goes seven innings in second win
Stone (2-1) earned the win Friday against the Blue Jays, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Stone was impressive Friday, holding Toronto to one run on Danny Jansen's fourth-inning homer while the Dodgers' offense provided plenty of support in an eventual 12-2 victory. The 25-year-old right-hander has held opponents to two runs or fewer in each of his last three outings, lowering his ERA to 4.68 with a 1.44 WHIP and 18:12 K:BB across five starts (25 innings) this season. Stone's currently slated for a tough home matchup versus Atlanta in his next outing. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:13 pm

    • Dominant again in seventh save
Miller earned the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Orioles, striking out two in a perfect inning.

Advice: Miller delivered another lights-out performance Friday, stranding the free runner at second base in the 10th inning to seal a one-run Oakland victory. After allowing a pair of runs in his first appearance this year, Miller's held opponents scoreless in his subsequent 11.1 innings while giving up just one hit and one walk in his last seven appearances. The 25-year-old right-hander is up to seven saves on the year with a 1.46 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and an outstanding 18.24 K/9. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:39 pm

    • Mason Miller perfect in 10th for save
Mason Miller pitched a perfect 10th with a one-run lead for a save Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: The automatic runner should score most of the time in these situations, resulting in an undeserved blown save, but not when it’s Miller on the mound. He got two strikeouts and a weak groundout in racking up his seventh save tonight. Rotoworld Friday, 8:33 pm

    • Gavin Stone strong for seven in downing Jays
Gavin Stone limited the Blue Jays to one run and two hits over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 12-2 rout Friday.

Advice: Stone got just two strikeouts and four missed swings tonight, but he did a nice job of keeping the ball on the ground while picking up his second win and quality start in five tries this year. He’ll take a 4.68 ERA into a tough matchup against the Braves next week. Rotoworld Friday, 6:56 pm

    • Fans seven in no-decision
Keller allowed four runs on six hits and two walks over five frames in a no-decision against the Brewers on Thursday while striking out seven.

Advice: Keller got off to a rocky start, surrendering a solo home run to William Contreras in the second at-bat of the game. Back-to-back walks to open the frame and some shaky defense behind him then led to two more runs in the third. The right-hander failed to make it through six innings for the first time in his last four starts while allowing four earned runs for the fourth time this season. On a positive note, Keller did record his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign with seven. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:51 am
