Advice: The double was Tucker’s eighth of the season. He has carried the Astros so far this year. Tucker’s average is up to .277 and his OPS is up to .994. He has another three games to beat up on the Athletics this week.

    • Shota Imanaga fans eight over five shutout frames
Shota Imanaga struck out eight over five shutout innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Braves.

Advice: Imanaga continues to be an unexpected revelation in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer for the eighth consecutive start in this one. The 30-year-old southpaw silenced Atlanta’s formidable lineup, scattering seven hits and three walks over five scoreless frames. He induced a staggering 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 27 percent CSW, needing 98 pitches (58 strikes) to get through five innings. He’ll bring a sublime 0.96 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 51/8 K/BB ratio across 46 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a favorable home outing on Saturday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm
    • Fans eight in no-decision
Imanaga did not factor into the decision Monday against Atlanta, allowing seven hits and three walks over five shutout innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: With his five shutout frames Monday, Imanaga shaved his ERA down to 0.96, a sterling mark for his first 46.2 major league innings. However, the Atlanta offense made the Cubs lefty work hard for his scoreless night as they had 10 baserunners and drew three walks, both setting season-highs allowed for Imanaga. He draws a much easier opponent in his next start, scheduled against Pittsburgh at home this upcoming weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:31 pm
    • Exits with toe injury
Morel left Monday's game against Atlanta after fouling a ball off his left foot, and he's been diagnosed with a left toe injury, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Morel is reportedly dealing with bumps and bruises, per Lee, so this appears to be a day-to-day type of injury. The Cubs should know more about his availability for the rest of the week after re-evaluating him Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 pm

    • Adley Rutschman crushes two homers in O’s loss
Adley Rutschman clobbered a pair of solo homers on Monday in the Orioles’ loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman took Blue Jays starter José Berríos deep in the fourth and sixth innings to record the first multi-homer performance of his young career. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone, who has gone deep in back-to-back contests, is batting .309/.343/.491 with 23 runs scored, eight homers, 25 RBI and one steal through 175 plate appearances this season. • Two-homer day
Rutschman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman hit both blasts off Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, giving him eight on the season and three over the last two games. The third-year star is now slashing .309/.343/.491 with 25 RBI and 23 runs to go along with the eight home runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm

    • Tosses side session Monday
Wicks (forearm) threw a bullpen session Monday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Wicks has been throwing off a mound for about a week after he had been placed on the 15-day injured list April 28 with a left forearm strain. The Cubs haven't yet offered up a concrete target date for his return from the IL, but if Wicks is able to resume facing hitters within the next few days, he'll likely require just one minor-league rehab start -- if any at all -- before being activated. Wicks had gone 1-2 with a 4.70 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 28:9 K:BB across 23 innings over his five starts before being shut down with the forearm injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:11 pm

    • Goes on IL with forearm strain
The Cubs placed Alzolay on the 15-day injured list Monday with a right forearm strain, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Alzolay netted a save in Sunday's extra-inning win over the Pirates, although he gave up two runs (one earned) in the process. The righty hasn't displayed strong form this season, collecting a 4.67 ERA and 13:6 K:BB over 17.1 innings. Hector Neris will continue to operate as the Cubs' primary closer.
