    • Tallies three hits Friday
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 2-1 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Greene was the only Detroit hitter to get anything going on Friday, as the team had just five hits overall. The outfielder could have had a bigger game if his teammates had come through, but he's still on a nice six-game hitting streak either way. During that span, Greene is batting a robust .435 with two home runs, four total runs scored and four RBI. It looks like the 23-year-old is primed for a big campaign. • Dazzles in victory
Cease (4-2) earned the win Friday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run, three hits and no walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Cease continued his brilliant start to the season Friday night, generating 18 whiffs en route to eight strikeouts. The erstwhile White Sox pitcher appears to have re-found his 2022 form, pitching to the tune of a 2.55 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 48:14 K:BB over 42.1 innings. Cease looks to keep it rolling in his next start, scheduled against the Cubs in Chicago. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm
    • Dylan Cease pitches into seventh to get fourth win
Dylan Cease allowed just a run in 6 2/3 innings against the Diamondbacks on Friday while picking up a win.

Advice: Cease was able to pick up his fourth win of the season with the victory. The right-hander picked up eight strikeouts in the process while not issuing any walks. When the 28-year-old throws strikes, he’s one of the toughest pitchers to have success against, and Friday was a good example of that. He’ll look to repeat his success against the Cubs next week. • Steven Kwan reaches base three times in loss
Steven Kwan went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a walk as the Guardians were shut out by the Angels on Friday night.

Advice: As a team, the Guardians were only able to muster six hits and a pair of walks on the night, so Kwan definitely did his part. He has been a tremendous catalyst atop the Guardians’ lineup this season, slashing a robust .356/.406/.500 with three homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases through his first 31 ballgames. • Reached base three times
Julien went 1-for-2 with two RBI, two walks and a stolen base in Friday's win over Boston.

Advice: Julien was stuck in an 0-for-11 drought since his last hit April 27. The lefty slugger drove in a run with a third-inning single before drawing a bases-loaded walk in the seventh. He's now slashing .222/.342/.485 with 14 RBI and two stolen bases through 31 appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 pm

    • Launches fifth homer
McMahon went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 29-year-old led off the sixth inning by hammering a Martin Perez changeup out of PNC Park completely and into the Allegheny River, becoming only the second Colorado player in history to accomplish the feat after Todd Helton back in 2001. Three of McMahon's five homers this year have come in the last eight games, and the power surge has boosted his slash line on the season to .319/.407/.513 with 13 runs and 19 RBI in 32 contests. • Ryan McMahon goes 2-for-5, homers in win
Ryan McMahon went 2-for-5 and hit his fifth homer Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Both hits were against a lefty in Martín Pérez. If McMahon were on a better team, he’d probably be a platoon player at this point, as he was bad against lefties in 2022 and even worse last season. This year, though, he’s batting .350 with two homers in 40 at-bats versus southpaws. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm

    • Royce Lewis (quad) increases baseball activities
Twins’ manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters on Friday that Royce Lewis (quad) has been progressing nicely in his recovery and has increased baseball activities in recent days.

Advice: He’s now entering the fifth week of his recovery from a severe right quad strain and is tracking towards meeting that initial eight-week estimate that he was given when he sustained the injury. The dynamic 24-year-old infielder could rejoin the Twins’ lineup before the month of May concludes if he continues to avoid any setbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:49 pm

Lewis (quad) is on target to return around the original eight-week mark in late-May, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Per Hayes, Lewis is progressing well and has started to increase baseball activities. At his one-month checkup, he was healing as expected and he's at five weeks, as of Friday's report. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:33 pm
