    • Goes deep Sunday
Verdugo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Verdugo ripped a leadoff homer off Robert Suarez in the ninth to bring the Yankees within three and extend his hitting streak to eight games. He's been locked in over the second half of May, slashing .308/.309/.519 with two homers, 11 RBI and seven runs over his last 13 games. He's making better contact this season as a whole, evidenced by his 10.8 strikeout rate, which is currently the fourth lowest in all of baseball among qualifying players. For the year, Verdugo has provided a steady presence in the lineup, slashing .261/.324/.431 with seven homers, 28 RBI, 26 runs and a 19:23 BB:K in 213 plate appearances. • Smacks 18th homer
Tucker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: The Astros scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning, and Tucker delivered the final blow with his 18th homer of the season. He's gone yard 11 times across 23 games in May, good for a 1.127 OPS. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:18 am

    • Kyle Tucker homers in win over A’s
Kyle Tucker went 1-for-4 with a walk and home run in a 5-2 win over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Another day, another Tucker home run. The 27-year-old hit a 403-foot shot off Aaron Brooks that left the bat at 105 mph. It was Tucker’s 18th of the season and he’s now up to 39 RBI to go along with a .280 average. He’s looking like one of the best first-round picks for this year’s fantasy baseball season. • Alex Verdugo slugs solo homer in loss Sunday
Alex Verdugo slugged his seventh home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees to victory over the Padres.

Advice: Verdugo tagged Padres’ closer Robert Suarez for his 351-foot (99.3 mph EV) solo shot in the ninth inning that pulled the Yankees to within three runs at 5-2. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 plus a strikeout and is now hitting .261/.324/.431 with seven long balls and 28 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:10 pm

    • Heading to bench Sunday
Greene is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Greene is in the midst of a 2-for-22 slump and will sit Sunday after making nine straight starts. Mark Canha will shift to left field while Carson Kelly receives a turn at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:35 am

    • Upping workouts
Trout (knee) has been working out on the elliptical and exercise bike and will next progress to the treadmill, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Trout has not done any baseball activities yet, but his rehab from left knee surgery in early May is progressing on schedule. It figures to be a while before a timetable comes into focus, but a return before the All-Star break seems unlikely at this stage. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:39 pm

    • Clubs 12th homer
Hernandez went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional run, a double and two walks in Friday's loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Hernandez also reached on a hit-by-pitch, so he got on base in all five of his plate appearances. Both of the outfielder's hits went for extra bases, and his ninth-inning solo homer was his first long ball in 12 games. Hernandez has been a strong addition to the Dodgers' high-octane offense, as he's tied for 10th in the league with 12 homers and ranks seventh with 38 RBI. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:44 am
    • Pops fourth homer
Rengifo went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Rengifo opened the scoring by popping a 413-foot solo shot in the bottom of the first. The switch-hitting Angel has been hot since returning from an illness May 17, hitting .300 (9-for-30) with two homers, three steals, four runs scored and five RBI. Overall, Rengifo is slashing .322/.374/.504 in 132 plate appearances while playing every day at second or third base. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:56 pm

    • Luis Rengifo doubles and homers in loss to CLE
Luis Rengifo doubled and homered in a loss Friday to the Angels.

Advice: Rengifo also singled. The 27-year-old took Logan Allen deep in the first inning, and the three-reach game now has his slash looking healthy at .322/.374/.504. Rengifo has been up-and-down for the majority of his MLB career. Right now he’s on the right side of that. There’s reason to believe it won’t last for much longer, respectfully.
