    • Angels activate Luis Rengifo for Friday return
      Angels activated INF/OF Luis Rengifo from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The Angels tried to keep Rengifo on the active roster, but after he missed five games, they decided to put him on the injured list last Thursday. A week later, he’s returning to the fold and should likely remain an everyday player for the Angels given how banged up their lineup is.       The Angels activated Rengifo (illness) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.

      Advice: Rengifo missed the last week and a half with a viral illness which resulted in painful blisters on his feet. He's recovered now, though, and should be back in the lineup when the Angels return to action Friday in Texas against the Rangers.     • Riley Greene sits, Kerry Carpenter starts vs. LHP
      Riley Greene is getting a scheduled day off Wednesday, with Kerry Carpenter starting in right field against a lefty.

      Advice: It’s the first time all season that Carpenter has been in the lineup against a southpaw and only the second time Greene has been rested. As great as Greene has been against righties this season, he’s hitting a mere .189/.268/.378 against southpaws, Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:30 am
       
    • Plates three runs in win
      Hernandez went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, three RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Giants.

      Advice: Hernandez got his night going with a run-scoring double in the fourth and then capped things off by driving in two more with a triple in the ninth. It was his first triple of the season and his third time with multiple extra-base hits. He's been providing some clutch hitting as of late with 10 RBI over his last six games and now sits at third in the majors with 36 RBI for the season.       Greene is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

      Advice: Greene has started each of the Tigers' last 22 games and appears to be getting a breather as Detroit wraps up its series against the Marlins with a day game.       Rengifo (illness) fielded grounders Monday and could return from the injured list when eligible Friday, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Rengifo came down with a viral infection in early May and landed on the IL when the illness caused painful blisters on his feet. His ability to take grounders Monday is a good indication that he's doing better, and there's a chance he could spend the minimum amount of time on the injured list. Upon his return, Rengifo should slide back into a starting role at third base -- Niko Goodrum, Luis Guillorme and Cole Tucker have been filling in at the hot corner in his stead.     • Teoscar Hernández goes 0-for-5 against Giants
      Teoscar Hernández finished 0-for-5 with three strikeouts against the Giants on Monday.

      Advice: Hernández is having a terrific fantasy campaign with his 11 homers and 33 RBI in 43 games, but the .244 average, .307 OBP and 30.6% strikeout rate aren’t exactly encouraging. It’s a good thing he plays for the Dodgers, because Statcast thinks he’d have fewer homers hitting anywhere else and he also probably wouldn’t be batting with as many runners on base.     • Tucker has two hits Monday
      Kyle Tucker went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the Astros’ win over the Athletics on Monday.



      Advice: The double was Tucker’s eighth of the season. He has carried the Astros so far this year. Tucker’s average is up to .277 and his OPS is up to .994. He has another three games to beat up on the Athletics this week.

    • Homers in victory
      Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Tigers.

      Advice: Tucker took Tigers starter Jack Flaherty deep for a two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning, giving Houston a 2-0 lead. The outfielder has now gone deep 13 times this season and five times in his last six contests.
