      Advice: The right-hander dealt with back tightness in his most recent start Monday against the Cubs and was lifted after five scoreless innings, but he's apparently feeling better two days later. Assuming he's able to make it out of his between-starts bullpen session without incident, Lopez shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he toes the rubber Sunday. After spending most of the last two seasons as a reliever, Lopez has exceeded expectations with his move to a starting role in his first year in Atlanta, going 2-1 with a 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings through his first seven outings.       Reynaldo López tossed five scoreless innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

      Advice: López certainly would’ve gone deeper into the contest, but he was lifted for precautionary reasons following just 71 pitches (50 strikes) after his back tightened up on him. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern with Braves manager Brian Snitker telling reporters afterwards that he doesn’t expect him to miss his next start.       Shota Imanaga struck out eight over five shutout innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Braves.

      Advice: Imanaga continues to be an unexpected revelation in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer for the eighth consecutive start in this one. The 30-year-old southpaw silenced Atlanta’s formidable lineup, scattering seven hits and three walks over five scoreless frames. He induced a staggering 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 27 percent CSW, needing 98 pitches (58 strikes) to get through five innings.       Advice: With his five shutout frames Monday, Imanaga shaved his ERA down to 0.96, a sterling mark for his first 46.2 major league innings. However, the Atlanta offense made the Cubs lefty work hard for his scoreless night as they had 10 baserunners and drew three walks, both setting season-highs allowed for Imanaga.       Advice: Eovaldi did some more flat-ground throwing Monday and might be ready to take the next step forward by getting back on a mound to toss a bullpen session. While he looks to be trending in the right direction, Eovaldi doesn't look as though he'll be ready to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible Saturday.     • Settles for no-decision Sunday
      Severino did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 4-3 win over Atlanta. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four over five innings.

      Advice: Severino served up a solo home run to Jarred Kelenic in the second inning but otherwise limited the damage. His night ended after allowing the first two hitters to reach in the sixth and he was ultimately charged with another run. Severino has now failed to reach six innings in consecutive starts and has issued nine walks over his last 10 innings pitched. He now owns a 3.00 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 41:20 K:BB in 45 innings and will look to get back in the win column over the weekend against the Marlins having not picked up a win since April 17.       Luis Severino pitched decently in a no-decision against the Braves on Sunday night, allowing two runs on four hits over his five-plus innings of work.

      Advice: The 30-year-old right-hander walked three batters and punched out four on the night. He served up a solo homer to Jarred Kelenic in the second inning, then allowed the first two hitters to reach in the sixth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen, and one of them ultimately crossed the plate. Severino got 12 swings and misses on 94 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 24 percent.       Advice: Paxton never found himself in any serious trouble throughout the contest, allowing only one extra-base hit as the Dodgers cruised to a shutout win. The veteran lefty threw 15 of 22 first pitches for strikes and produced 10 whiffs on the night en route to earning his fifth win of the campaign. Paxton has allowed one run or fewer in back-to-back starts and in four of his seven outings this season. Saturday also marked his first start this season in which he didn't issue a walk.
