    • Keibert Ruiz goes 0-for-4 against Mets
Keibert Ruiz went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: We wonder how Riley Adams feels about being back in Triple-A while performing better than Ruiz both offensively and defensively these last two seasons. The 0-for tonight leaves Ruiz at .199/.239/.288 for 2024. He has to be better than this offensively, but the Nationals seem to be at a complete loss for ideas to improve his defense. • Bobby Witt Jr homers twice in loss
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Witt smacked both long balls off of Triston McKenzie, hitting a 434-foot shot in the third inning and then a massive 454-foot bomb in the fourth inning. He now has 11 home runs on the year to go along with 46 RBI and a .319/.371/.565 slash line. With the injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. and the struggles of Julio Rodriguez, Bobby Witt Jr. is setting up to be the number-one pick in fantasy leagues next year. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
    • Absent from Tuesday's lineup
Raleigh is not in the Mariners' lineup Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Raleigh had a three game hit streak, but will begin Tuesday's matchup from the bench. He did not start May 29 against the Astros, but did come off the bench for two plate appearances. In his place, Mitch Garver has the start behind the plate and Mitch Haniger is the DH. Rotowire.com Today, 3:40 pm

    • Masataka Yoshida starting rehab assignment this weekend
Red Sox manager Alex Cora confirmed Tuesday that Masataka Yoshida (thumb) is expected to start a minor league rehab assignment this weekend.

Advice: Yoshida has been on the shelf since the start of May due to a left thumb strain, but managed to avoid surgery. The 30-year-old is going to need some time to get back up to speed in the minors before returning to Boston’s lineup mix at designated hitter. Rotoworld Today, 1:36 pm

    • Yoshida (thumb) could start rehab assignment soon
Masataka Yoshida (thumb) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment near the end of this week.

Advice: Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Sunday that Yoshida has seen considerable improvement and will “hopefully” be ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment before the end of the week. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since the beginning of May due to a strained left thumb. Before landing on the injured list he was hitting .275/.348/.388 with just two homers, 11 RBI and zero stolen bases in 89 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:14 am

    • Possible rehab assignment this week
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Sunday that he's hopeful Yoshida (thumb) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment later this week, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Cora's comments came one day after Yoshida took live batting practice on the field and reported no issues with his strained left thumb, which has kept him out of action since April 28. Though the skipper didn't offer up a firm timeline for when Yoshida might be activated from the 10-day injured list, the 30-year-old may only need a handful of games in the minors this weekend before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Red Sox. Once activated, Yoshida should settle in as Boston's primary designated hitter, though he's likely to sit frequently against left-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:52 am

    • Delivers game-winning hit
Siri went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Siri made his lone hit of the day count, as he delivered a two-RBI double in the eighth inning to account for the game-winning runs. He briefly lost playing time when Josh Lowe (oblique) was on the field, but Siri has now started eight of the Rays' last nine games and has gone 7-for-27 with seven RBI, four runs scored, two home runs and a stolen base in that span. • Perfect for save No. 15
Iglesias picked up the save Sunday against Oakland, tossing a perfect inning with no strikeouts.

Advice: Iglesias needed just nine pitches to retire Zack Gelof, Kyle McCann and Max Schuemann in order. The 34-year-old is 15-for-17 on save chances this season and has allowed one hit in his last five innings of work. Overall, Iglesias has the fourth-most saves in the NL and owns a 2.42 ERA through 22.1 innings. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:14 pm

    • Holds on for save
Garcia secured a save after he pitched one inning, allowing one run on two hits while striking out three batters in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Garcia entered the game in the top of the ninth inning, tasked with protecting a 5-3 lead. He surrendered a leadoff double to Oneil Cruz, then struck out back-to-back batters before Rowdy Tellez notched an RBI single. Garcia then punched out Ji Hwan Bae to end the contest, securing his third save of the season. He now possesses a 1.57 ERA and 0.74 WHIP on the year while striking out 29 batters over 23 innings in 22 appearances out of the bullpen. Garcia is likely the primary ninth-inning option for Toronto due to Jordan Romano (shoulder) being on the 15-day injured list. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:15 pm
