    • Scratched Wednesday
Moreno was scratched from the Diamondbacks' lineup ahead of Wednesday's game against the Dodgers, Jesse Friedman of GoPHNX.com reports.

Advice: The D-backs have not offered an explanation as to why Moreno was taken out of the lineup, but they should provide clarification relatively soon. Tucker Barnhart will start behind the plate instead and bat ninth. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
    • Jo Adell strikes out four times Wednesday in loss
Jo Adell went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts on Wednesday in the Angels’ loss to the Phillies.

Advice: So much for the whole cutting back on strikeouts storyline. Adell appears to have made some legitimate strides in the plate skills department early on this season, but he looked a bit overwhelmed in this one as he fanned twice in three at-bats against Phillies ace Zack Wheeler before tacking on a pair of additional punch outs later in the contest. He’s been on a tear the last two weeks with three homers and two steals in 12 contests since April 17. Rotoworld Today, 4:08 pm

    • Jurickson Profar tallies four hits in victory
Jurickson Profar went 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Padres’ win over the Reds.

Advice: Profar’s unexpected hot start continues to roll on as his latest four-hit performance raises his batting average to an astronomical .342 mark through 34 contests. He’s only added four homers and one steal, so we’re not forecasting a late-career renaissance for the 31-year-old former top overall prospect, but it’s worth noting that his latest hot streak is probably enough to land him some opportunities in the future to prolong his career. • Chris Sale posts nine strikeouts in win over M’s
Chris Sale recorded a season-high nine strikeouts and allowed one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Mariners.

Advice: Sale authored arguably his strongest performance of his Braves debut so far, generating an eye-popping 21 swinging strikes, and finishing with an elite 39 percent CSW. A run-scoring single from Jorge Polanco with two outs in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. The oft-injured 35-year-old veteran southpaw has looked rejuvenated since arriving in Atlanta, allowing three earned runs or fewer in five of six starts to open the year. He’ll carry a strong 3.44 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 42/7 K/BB ratio across 36 2/3 innings (six starts) into a home outing next Wednesday against his former team, the suddenly resurgent Red Sox. • Resting against lefty
Marsh is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels.

Advice: The Phillies will withhold Marsh and fellow lefty-hitting regular Bryson Stott from the lineup for the series finale while the Angels bring southpaw Patrick Sandoval to the hill. Kyle Schwarber checks in as the Phillies' starting left fielder in Marsh's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 11:30 am

    • Collects three more hits Tuesday
Profar went 3-for-4 with a double in Tuesday's win over Cincinnati.

Advice: Profar extended his modest hitting streak to seven games, and he has three multi-hit performances over that stretch. The veteran logged his third straight game in the leadoff spot Tuesday and is batting atop the lineup again Wednesday versus right-hander Graham Ashcraft. Profar has been arguably the Padres' best hitter in the early part of the campaign, slashing .318/.413/.505 with four homers, 19 RBI, 16 runs and a stolen base through 33 games. • On bench Wednesday
D'Arnaud is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Seattle.

Advice: He was behind the plate for Tuesday's 3-2 loss, so d'Arnaud will get a break for Wednesday's afternoon contest. Chadwick Tromp will start at catcher and will form a battery with starting pitcher Chris Sale. Rotowire.com Today, 9:51 am

    • Timely hit in Tuesday's win
Machado went 1-for-5 with a three-run double in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Machado stepped up to the plate in the fifth with the bases juiced and cleared them all with a double to center field. That was his first extra-base hit since April 14 and his first multi-RBI game since April 12. He's tallied a hit in four of his five games since being reinstated from the paternity list and is now slashing .250/.304/.388 with four homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs and a 9:29 BB:K in 125 plate appearances. • Swipes bag in Tuesday's win
Tatis went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a steal, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Tatis also reached base once more via a hit by pitch and stole his first bag since April 16. Coming into Tuesday, his numbers at the dish have been misleading. He was just 5-for-40 over his last 10 games, but posted a 72.4 percent hard-hit rate and averaged an exit velocity of 96.9 mph. He's experiencing some bad luck at the moment, which should turn around sooner than later. For the season, Tatis is slashing .238/.326/.437 with six homers, 17 RBI, 22 runs, four steals and a 15:27 BB:K in 144 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:44 am
