    • Escapes with sixth save
Neris allowed one run on two hits and one walk but recorded the final three outs of Saturday's game against the Brewers to earn his sixth save of the season. He struck out one batter.

Advice: Neris put the tying run in scoring position with just one out, but he then buckled down and retired Tyler Black and Willy Adames to preserve the win for starter Jameson Taillon. With six saves in as many attempts since April 20, and with Adbert Alzolay struggling to get on track in lower-leverage situations, Neris appears to be shoring up his spot in the ninth inning under manager Craig Counsell. • Starling Marte has two hits, steals base in loss
Starling Marte went 2-for-3 with an RBI and also stole a base on Saturday in the Mets’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: Marte was one of the few bright spots for the Mets in this one as they managed just six hits combined against Rays starter Zack Littell and a trio of relievers. It’s still early, but the 35-year-old veteran outfielder has looked rejuvenated this season, batting .275/.313/.408 with 16 runs scored, four homers, 15 RBI and seven steals in 129 plate appearances. • Zack Littell delivers another strong outing Saturday
Zack Littell struck out seven and allowed one run over six innings on Saturday in a no-decision against the Mets.

Advice: Littell got into trouble early when Starling Marte connected for an RBI single in the opening frame, but that was all that New York’s offense would generate for the remainder of the contest. The 28-year-old righty continues to impress with his four straight outing with at least six strikeouts, while also boasting elite control. He’ll bring a solid 3.00 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 42/5 K/BB ratio across 39 innings (seven starts) into a home outing on Friday against the Yankees. Rotoworld Today, 9:30 pm
    • Wyatt Langford exits game with leg injury Saturday
Wyatt Langford was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Royals after suffering a leg injury while running to first base.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base. The exit could have been precautionary, with the Rangers holding a big early lead in the game, but we’ll know more when they provide an update on Langford’s status. Stay tuned. • Departs with hamstring tightness
Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The rookie figures to be sent for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Langford was hitless in three plate appearances Saturday before being lifted. Rotowire.com Today, 5:28 pm

    • Bo Bichette ejected from Saturday’s ballgame
Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet. Home plate umpire Jonathan Parra didn’t take kindly to that though and gave him the heave-ho. He’ll catch the rest of Saturday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Today, 2:36 pm

    • Héctor Neris records sixth save against Brewers
Héctor Neris allowed one run in the ninth inning, holding on for the save against the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: It hasn’t come easy for Neris, but he just keeps getting by in the ninth inning. He was summoned with a two-run lead against the Brewers and gave up a run on two hits and a walk before closing it out for his sixth save. Mark Letter Jr. tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts before handing it over to Neris. He’ll be someone to watch if Neris struggles to convert saves going forward. • Anthony Rizzo swats three-run homer vs. Tigers
Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer Saturday to help the Yankees to a 5-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Rizzo extended the Yankees’ lead to 5-1 with a three-run blast off Casey Mize. The 34-year-old also singled, and the pair of hits bumps his average to .263. Rizzo got off to a poor start, but he’s starting to come around with an OPS that has gone up over 150 points over the last two weeks. Rotoworld Today, 12:48 pm

    • Picks up seventh steal
Altuve went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI on Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve had a productive day from the leadoff spot that included the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning. He also stole his seventh base of the season and third in his last two contests. Altuve has seven homers across 146 plate appearances while hitting .348, providing excellent production across the board. Rotowire.com Today, 10:15 am
