• Swats fifth homer
Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Thursday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Correa got Minnesota off to a fast start with a solo shot off Marcus Stroman in the first inning. He added a sacrifice fly in the fifth to give him consecutive multi-RBI performances. Though Correa is batting just .217 (5-for-23) over his past six games, he's knocked in a hearty nine runs over that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 pm

  • Adael Amador up to six homers in last eight games
Rockies 2B prospect Adael Amador went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Thursday for Double-A Hartford.

Advice: It certainly feels like Amador has heard all of the recent chatter regarding his slow start this season at the plate in the upper minors as he’s exploded for six round-trippers over his last eight games for Triple-A Hartford. The 21-year-old top prospect still has plenty of work to do from a batting average standpoint, but the fact that he’s starting to hit for more over-the-fence pop is an extremely encouraging development. • Correa belts fifth home run Thursday
Carlos Correa went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Correa’s fifth of the season. He later added a sacrifice fly and a single. Correa is hitting .263 with a .765 OPS and 24 RBI on the year. His .190 ISO would be his highest since his .205 ISO in 2021, his last year in Houston. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:33 pm

  • X-rays negative on Nico Hoerner’s hand after HBP
X-rays came back negative on Nico Hoerner’s hand after being hit by a pitch during Thursday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Hoerner remained in the contest and appears to have avoided serious injury after being plunked on the hand by a 96.5 mph fastball from Reds starter Hunter Greene during the early stages of the game. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to wind up missing any time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:44 pm

It was his second big fly in his last four games and first multi-hit effort since May 28. He also walked twice in this one. Advice: Gonzales took Dodgers starter Walker Buehler deep in the early stages of the contest for his fourth long ball of the season. The 25-year-old infielder has been an unexpected revelation for Pittsburgh, batting .315 (28-for-89) with four homers and two steals in 24 games since arriving back in the majors last month. • Plays seven innings in field
Perdomo (knee) started at shortstop and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in a rehab game with Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Advice: Perdomo's rehab moved from the rookie-level Arizona Complex League to Reno on Wednesday, and the shortstop played seven innings in the field. Per Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com, the Diamondbacks aren't targeting a specific number of games or at-bats for Perdomo; instead, his return date depends on how he feels. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo confirmed Perdomo won't be activated from the 10-day injured list during the upcoming four-game series against the Padres that begin Thursday, but a return next week could be in the cards.
