• Swats second homer
Seager went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Seager, who was not in the original starting lineup for Saturday's game, was a late add. The home run was his second of the season. Seager's off to a slow start, slashing .247/.336/.330 over 110 plate appearances, which is disappointing for fantasy managers who expected more from the player that finished second in AL MVP voting last season. However, it's understandable when considering Seager underwent offseason hernia surgery and missed all but the final week of spring training. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago
  • Doubles, scores in loss
Alexander went 1-for-2 with a walk, double and run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Seattle.

Advice: Alexander walked with two outs in the eighth inning and came around to score Arizona's lone run on Jake McCarthy's triple. The rookie shortstop has hit safely in six of the last seven contests, going 9-for-24 with six extra-base hits, nine RBI and four runs. Alexander's bat has played well, but defense could cost him opportunities. He ranks last among shortstops with minus-7 outs above average and minus-5 runs prevented. Rotowire.com Today, 6:14 am
  • Breaks out of slump
Farmer went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's victory over the Angels.

Advice: Farmer finally broke out of a terrible slump as he was hitting .100 (5-for-50) with a .390 OPS in his first 21 games. Farmer is splitting playing time at third base with Jose Miranda with Royce Lewis and Carlos Correa injured. Farmer will likely move to more of a bench role when Correa returns in the next few days with Willi Castro likely to get the most playing time at third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 pm

  • Trea Turner picks up three hits in win over Padres
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in a victory Saturday over the Padres.

Advice: Turner scored on a pair of hits from Alec Bohm, the first being a two-run homer in the first and the next being an RBI single in the fifth. The 30-year-old has been outstanding over the first 28 games, with his slash of .345/.397/.483 a vast improvement over his scuffles to begin the 2023 campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:22 pm
  • Swipes first bag
Lopez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base Saturday against the Rays.

Advice: Lopez has at least one hit in six straight starts, and even as the White Sox's primary leadoff hitter, that's translated to only three runs scored. He also managed his first successful stolen base of the season after having been caught on four previous occasions. Through 85 plate appearances, Lopez has offered very little at the dish by maintaining a .219 batting average and by tallying only one extra-base hit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm

  • Logs fourth steal
Mateo went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Mateo has seen limited playing time this season, though he could get more looks after Jackson Holliday was sent down to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday. Through 35 plate appearances, Mateo is slashing .250/.314/.406 with four steals, one RBI, five runs scored and five doubles. He's unlikely to take a full-time role from Jordan Westburg, Ramon Urias or Cedric Mullins, but Mateo offers utility value and speed while playing primarily versus left-handed pitchers. • All set for rehab assignment
Berti (groin) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Berti has been down for the last two weeks with a left groin strain but is ready to play in some rehab games to show he's over the injury. Because he hasn't missed that much time, Berti probably won't need too many rehab at-bats before being activated. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:34 pm

  • Zach McKinstry smacks run-scoring triple in win
Zach McKinstry went 1-for-2 with an RBI triple as the Tigers topped the Royals in Saturday night in Detroit.

Advice: McKinstry got the Tigers on the board in the second inning, plating Colt Keith with an RBI triple in the second inning. He’s had a rough start to the season overall, slashing .216/.302/.270 with zero homers, two RBI and zero stolen bases in 43 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:17 pm

  • Maikel Garcia plates two, steals base in loss
Maikel Garcia went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI and a stolen base as the Royals fell to the Tigers on Saturday evening in Motown.

Advice: Garcia led off the game with a single off of Casey Mize and came around to score the game’s first run on an RBI ground ball off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino. He then drove in a run with an RBI single in the second inning and swiped second base before being stranded there. The 24-year-old third baseman also plated a run with a ground ball in the ninth inning. With his two-hit attack, he’s now hitting .222/.277/.380 with four homers, 20 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:11 pm
