    Advice: Donovan has been dialed in for much of June. He's hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games, going 26-for-71 (.366) with seven extra-base hits and 14 RBI in that span. The 27-year-old is up to a .269/.333/.420 slash line with eight home runs, 39 RBI, 35 runs scored, 17 doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 72 contests.     Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI against the White Sox on Monday.

    Advice: It was a quiet game for the Dodgers offense against White Sox starter Garrett Crochet. Ohtani hit a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning to give Los Angeles a 3-0 lead. It was his 58th RBI on the season. He trails only Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna for the National League lead in RBI. Ohtani is hitting .318 with a 1.021 OPS on the season.   • Plays catch from 90 feet
    Ohtani (elbow) played catch from 90 feet Monday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

    Advice: Ohtani is throwing from 90 feet for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last September. He continues to progress in his rehab with no issues, and he's certainly shown no ill effects at the plate as a result of his ongoing recovery from the elbow issue. The Dodgers haven't ruled out the possibility of Ohtani playing the outfield at some point in 2024, though that still seems like a long shot.     Advice: Fermin is on the bench for the second day in a row, but his playing time could be on the upswing nonetheless while he's produced a .271/.314/.500 slash line through the first three and a half weeks of June. In addition to filling in at catcher on days that top backstop Salvador Perez gets days off behind the dish, Fermin will factor into the equation at designated hitter, where he had made two of his last three starts.     Advice: The lefty-hitting Sheets will hit the bench while the Dodgers send southpaw James Paxton to the mound. Sheets had started the previous five games while the White Sox faced off against right-handed pitchers, but he'll likely begin to sit out some of those matchups more frequently after Chicago returned Eloy Jimenez from the injured list Sunday. With Jimenez occupying the designated-hitter spot, Andrew Vaughn locked in at first base and Andrew Benintendi and Tommy Pham serving as the White Sox's primary starters in the corner outfield, all four of Sheets' avenues for regular playing time would seem to be blocked.     Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Monday that he's optimistic Arenado (forearm) will be ready to return to the lineup in the coming days, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

    Advice: Arenado will miss a second straight start Monday against Atlanta with a left forearm issue, which is evidently something that's bothered the third baseman off and on throughout the season. However, he's feeling better following an injection and was working out on the field pregame Monday. Brandon Crawford will get a second straight start at the hot corner in Arenado's place.
