• Racks up three hits in win
Melendez went 3-for-4 with a triple in Friday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Melendez hasn't been able to string good games together, but he's 7-for-24 (.292) over eight games in May. The outfielder was able to get aboard in the ninth inning before Garrett Hampson entered as a pinch runner and scored on Adam Frazier's home run. Melendez is up to a .202/.260/.395 slash line with four homers, 12 RBI, 10 runs scored, six doubles, two triples and two stolen bases through 123 plate appearances. Melendez continues to be an anchor for batting average in fantasy, but he's still got intriguing power in formats where he's still catcher-eligible despite not playing behind the dish this season. • Clubs go-ahead homer
Frazier went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Friday's 2-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Frazier put the Royals ahead with his ninth-inning blast. The second baseman has gone 3-for-7 over his last two games after enduring an 0-for-15 skid over his previous six contests. Frazier's playing time has been irregular since he lost the starting job at the keystone to Michael Massey, but he's been able to draw in with time in the corner outfield and at designated hitter. Frazier's at a .188/.309/.250 slash line with one homer, eight RBI, eight runs scored, a stolen base and two doubles through 94 plate appearances this season, so his lack of an everyday role shouldn't come as a surprise. • Registers steal Friday
Winn went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Friday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Winn appears to be finding his swing again -- he's gone 4-for-14 (.286) over his last five contests. He's still gone 20 games without a multi-hit effort after having seven of them in his first 15 contests this season. The shortstop is 6-for-7 on stolen base attempts and is batting .267 with a .683 OPS through 120 plate appearances on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:37 pm
  • Homers off bench Friday
Gorman hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Friday's 11-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Gorman entered the game as a defensive replacement after the Brewers turned it into a rout. Gorman's ninth-inning blasted ended his 0-for-14 skid that spanned all of May prior to Friday. The second baseman is slashing a meager .179/.262/.350 with five homers, 13 RBI, nine runs scored, five doubles and no stolen bases over 130 plate appearances. Gorman began the year in a near-everyday role at the keystone, but he's now sat out against the last three southpaws the Cardinals have faced, with Jose Fermin picking up the playing time. Gorman had reverse splits last season and that has carried over into 2024, but he's simply not hitting well enough overall to justify a full-time role at this point of the season. • Swats fourth homer
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman hasn't been able to turn his hitting around in May -- he's gone 4-for-26 (.154) through nine games this month and is batting just .193 on the year. His homer Friday was his first since April 19, and two of his hits in May have gone for extra bases. The 24-year-old has four homers, 13 RBI, 18 runs scored and four steals through 126 plate appearances. It's fair to question whether Freeman has earned his near-everyday role, but the Guardians are unlikely to shake things up too dramatically while Steven Kwan (hamstring) is out. • Goes yard again Friday
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Ramirez has gone 8-for-23 (.348) over his last six games, and half of his hits in that span have left the yard. He started the year slowly from a power standpoint, but the third baseman is up to nine homers, 33 RBI and a .471 slugging percentage through 38 contests thanks to his recent surge. He's still a little light for batting average (.245), but that's nothing to be concerned about while he's squaring up well. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm
  • Homers in Friday's loss
Estrada went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Estrada is enjoying a strong start to May, hitting safely in eight of his 10 games this month. He's gone 12-for-40 (.300) in that span, adding two homers and eight RBI. The second baseman is at a .248/.276/.434 slash line with six homers, 21 RBI, 17 runs scored and one stolen base through 39 contests overall. Estrada is on pace for a career year in homers, but his overall performance is down and the Giants' weak offense hasn't helped him rack up more counting stats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:17 pm

  • Estrada hits solo homer in loss to Reds
Thairo Estrada hit a solo homer in a loss Friday to the Giants.

Advice: Estrada pounced on an Andrew Abbott offering in the first inning for his sixth homer and 21st RBI of the 2024 campaign. It was the only hit of the game for the infielder, and his slash of .248/.276/.434 leaves a bit to be desired. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:50 pm

  • Adam Frazier hits go-ahead two-run homer in ninth
Adam Frazier hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the ninth inning in the Royals’ 2-1 victory over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Frazier plays hero with a two-run blast off Carlos Estévez that turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead and ultimately a win for the Royals. The 32-year-old veteran isn’t known for his pop, and that was his first homer as a member of the Kansas City roster. Frazier remains an unusable fantasy option, but tonight is one he’ll always remember. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:18 pm
