• Dealing with arm fracture
Rizzo (arm) suffered a fracture to the radial neck of his right arm and could miss 4-to-6 weeks, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Rizzo suffered the injury in the seventh inning of Sunday's 9-3 loss and he'll now likely be sidelined until at least the All-Star break. With the Yankees off Monday, the first baseman seems set to be officially placed on the injured list Tuesday, while his replacement on the roster is still unknown. In Rizzo's absence, DJ LeMahieu could see the majority of his workload over at first base while Oswaldo Cabrera picks up some starts at the hot corner. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago
  • Taking seat Monday
Flores is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Flores had started at first base in each of the Giants' last five games, with three starts coming versus lefties and two coming versus right-handers. Though the Giants seem content to deploy Flores as their primary first baseman rather than a platoon bat while LaMonte Wade (hamstring) is on the injured list, Flores will nonetheless give way to rookie Trenton Brooks on Monday. • Sitting again, viewed as day-to-day
Smith is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets while he continues to recover from what he described as "lower glute/upper hamstring" tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rangers manager Bruce Bochy had previously said that Smith was dealing with general tightness, but the 26-year-old provided more specifics about the nature of his injury. Though Smith is on the bench Monday for a fourth straight game, he said he's improving every day and expects to rejoin the lineup within the next few days. Ezequiel Duran will spell Smith at third base Monday. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

  • LaMonte Wade (hamstring) doubtful for Thursday
LaMonte Wade Jr. probably isn’t going to be able to make it back into the Giants lineup for the Rickwood game in Alabama on Thursday.

Advice: Wade has been aiming to play in the contest, but his strained left hamstring isn’t quite ready yet. The Giants have been getting by with Wilmer Flores and Trenton Brooks at first base. Brooks will most likely be demoted once Wade is ready. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

  • DFA'd by Halos
The Angels designated Tucker for assignment Monday.

Advice: Tucker will head to waivers after the Angels reinstated Brandon Drury (hamstring) from the 10-day IL. Tucker saw his playing time steadily decrease over the last month as he struggled at the plate, slashing .180/.263/.300 over 57 plate appearances. Tucker could garner interest via trade or waivers from teams in need of infield depth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:59 pm

  • Out of lineup but available
Rengifo (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Monday's game versus the Brewers, Michael Huntley of The Sporting Tribune reports.

Advice: Rengifo exited Sunday's loss to the Giants with a left wrist contusion as a result of a hit by pitch. The super utility player said he'll be available off the bench Monday, so it would seem he'll have a good shot to return to the lineup Tuesday. Luis Guillorme is handling third base in Rengifo's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 2:57 pm

  • Luis Rengifo (wrist) held out of starting lineup
Luis Rengifo is out of Monday’s lineup with a wrist contusion, though he thinks he could play if needed.

Advice: Rengifo was hurt while falling down in trying to make a play at third base yesterday. Luis Guillorme is starting at third base tonight. Rotoworld Today, 2:54 pm

  • Angels activate Brandon Drury from injured list
Angels activated INF Brandon Drury from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Cole Tucker was dropped to make room. Drury missed 5 1/2 weeks with a strained left hamstring. He was hitting only .173/.230/.240 in 113 plate appearances before going down, and Angels manager Ron Washington said over the weekend that he’d be benched if he didn’t produce pretty quickly after coming off the IL. Expect him to get regular playing time for now between second base and DH. Rotoworld Today, 2:52 pm

  • Angels cut Cole Tucker from roster
Angels designated INF/OF Cole Tucker for assignment.

Advice: Tucker hit just .180/.263/.300 in 57 plate appearances for the Angels. He still offers plenty of defensive versatility, but it’s just not enough to justify a roster spot. Rotoworld Today, 2:49 pm
