    Corey Seager homered and drove in two runs in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

    Advice: Seager got the Rangers on the board with a homer, and he drove in another run with a bases-loaded walk that tied the game at 2-2. Things are starting to pick up for the 30-year-old star, but his .239/.314/.345 slash is obviously one of the more disappointing developments of the (early) 2024 campaign.     Francisco Lindor hit a late homer off Charlie Morton in a loss to the Braves.

    Advice: The Mets’ offense was quiet all night as Morton held them to just three hits, the loudest being Lindor’s solo shot. He’s done well to put his slow start behind him with six homers over the last three weeks. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago
     
  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa goes 3-for-4, homers in loss
    Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and drove in both Blue Jays runs Friday in the loss to the Twins.

    Advice: Statcast has been saying all year that Kiner-Falefa has been cheated with his results, but things have picked up lately, as he’s raised his average from .247 to .279 in his last four games. His exit velocity numbers are actually down from his norms, but he hasn’t struck out much and he’s hit a ton of balls that have had the potential to go for singles.   • Andy Ibáñez swipes base in loss to Astros
    Andy Ibáñez went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles and a stolen base on Friday evening as the Tigers fell to the visiting Astros.

    Advice: The known lefty-masher collected both of his hits off of Astros’ southpaw Framber Valdez. He singled in the third inning and raced around to score on Matt Vierling’s two-run double. He also added a single in the fifth inning and swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but the Tigers were unable to cash him in. The 31-year-old infielder has impressed in his limited action this season, slashing a robust .349/.348/.512 with two homers, seven RBI and a swipe in 45 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 6:07 pm

  • Lands on injured list
    The Angels placed Adrianza on the 10-day injured list Friday with back spasms, retroactive to Thursday.

    Advice: Adrianza reported having problems with his lower back Friday, and the issue is apparently severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list.     Angels placed INF Ehire Adrianza on the 10-day injured list with back spasms.

    Advice: The 24-year-old infielder was punishing the baseball once again at the Triple-A level, hitting .358 (43-for-120) with four homers in his first 30 games.     Zack Gelof (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.

    Advice: The dynamic 24-year-old infielder will play in games on Friday and on Sunday before being re-evaluated. If all goes well, there’s a chance that he could return to the A’s lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Astros in Houston.
