    • Keeps surging Tuesday
Gorman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gorman has upped the power over the last week with six homers and 10 RBI over his last seven contests. That's still come with a swing-and-miss risk, as he's struck out 10 times in that span, but that's of little concern when he's making the most of whatever contact he gets. The second baseman is up to 14 homers, 31 RBI, 28 runs scored, two stolen bases, eight doubles and a .235/.320/.508 slash line through 206 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

    • Luis Gil dazzles over six scoreless vs. Twins
Luis Gil recorded six strikeouts over six shutout innings on Tuesday in a win over the Twins.

Advice: The breakout sensation of the 2024 campaign so far, Gil kept rolling on Tuesday evening at Yankee Stadium, scattering one hit and three walks over six nearly-flawless frames against a talented Minnesota lineup. He’s emerged as an early AL Cy Young Award contender this season, allowing one earned run or fewer in seven consecutive starts since May 1. The 26-year-old righty won’t be able to sustain these sublime results long-term, but he’s rapidly evolved into a legitimate upper-echelon fantasy contributor, thanks to his ability to consistently miss bats and avoid hard contact. He’ll carry a microscopic 1.82 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 85/34 K/BB ratio across 69 1/3 innings (12 starts) into a challenging matchup on Sunday against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm

    • Tyler Freeman homers in win over Royals
Tyler Freeman went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Freeman greeted Seth Lugo in the sixth inning with a 402-foot shot that left the bat at 102.3 mph. It was his fifth home run on the season, and now has 24 RBI to go along with a .219/.308/.358 slash line. Freeman has been trending up in recent weeks but with the renewed health fo Steven Kwan and Andres Gimenez, Freeman has moved back down to the bottom third of the lineup, which will limit his opportunities for runs and RBI. • Seth Lugo wears down late against Guardians
Seth Lugo allowed five runs on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Guardians.

Advice: Lugo started the game with three scoreless innings before allowing three runs in the fourth. However, he settled down and threw two more scoreless innings but the Royals brought him back out for the seventh where he allowed a single and a two-run home runs before being pulled from the game. Lugo posted a 27 percent CSW on the night and induced eight whiffs on 46 swings. He doesn’t miss many bats, but he has been tremendous this season with a 2.16 ERA. He should certainly be started this weekend against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:20 pm
    • Ranger Suárez trending towards starting in London
Ranger Suárez (thumb) played catch on Tuesday without any issues or limitations.

Advice: Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Suárez is slated to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and is trending towards taking the ball this weekend in London against the Mets. The 28-year-old southpaw is reportedly feeling much better of late after being hit by a comebacker last Saturday against the Cardinals. X-rays came back negative and it looks like he’ll be ready to take the ball this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:42 pm

    • Idle against lefty
Turang is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Turang will dodge a matchup with southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on Tuesday, joining fellow lefties Jake Bauers and Sal Frelick on the bench. Andruw Monasterio will play second and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:19 pm

    • Still on track for London start
Suarez (hand) played catch without any apparent issues Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He gave a thumbs-up to reporters afterward, and Phillies manager Rob Thomson was similarly upbeat about how Suarez checked out during Tuesday's workout. Suarez will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, and assuming that goes well, he's expected to be cleared to start against the Mets this weekend in London. The lefty departed his last outing Saturday versus the Cardinals after being struck on the pitching hand by a comebacker. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:06 pm

    • Sitting against RHP
Naylor is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Kansas City.

Advice: For the first time since May 19, Naylor won't be part of Cleveland's lineup against a right-handed pitcher Tuesday, marking the catcher's fourth absence in the last five games. With David Fry swinging one of the best bats in baseball and Naylor batting .164 in May , Naylor could bleed more playing time if he doesn't turn it around at the plate. • Lifts homer Monday
Santander went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Santander has hit safely in nine of his last 11 games, going 12-for-41 (.293) with four homers and eight RBI in that span. He continues to dig himself out of a rough start to 2024, though he's still at a .223/.301/.450 slash line over 54 contests. Santander has added 11 homers, 33 RBI, 31 runs scored, 11 doubles and a triple while seeing steady playing time in right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:54 am
