    • Removed with sore hamstring
Turner was removed from Friday's game against the Giants due to left hamstring soreness, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Turner stole second base and then scored from second on a passed ball during the fourth inning, but he was replaced on defense by Edmundo Sosa before the fifth frame. It remains unknown how severe Turner's injury is, but the Phillies should offer an update on his status in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 pm

    • Trea Turner leaves game with sore hamstring
Trea Turner was forced to leave Friday’s matchup against the Giants due to soreness in his left hamstring.

Advice: The speedy 30-year-old shortstop singled, stole a base and raced all the way around from second to score on a wild pitch as Bryce Harper walked in the fifth inning, but it seemed to have taken a toll on his hamstring as he was replaced when the Phillies took the field. The severity of the issue — and whether or not he’ll miss any time — remain unclear. More should be known on his status prior to Saturday’s game against the Giants. All fantasy managers can do now is sit tight and hope for the best. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:39 pm

    • Trea Turner exits game with injury on Friday night
Trea Turner was removed from Friday night’s contest against the Giants in the fifth inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Uh oh. That’s never what you want to hear. The 30-year-old superstar literally created a run on his own in the bottom of the fourth inning as he smacked a two-out single, stole second base and then raced around to score from second base on walk by Bryce Harper as the ball bounced away from the catcher. It’s possible that he tweaked a hamstring or something while zooming around the bases, but hopefully it’s nothing major. Look for the Phillies to provide an update on his status shortly. • Adbert Alzolay gives up three runs to take loss
After coming in with a 1-0 lead in the eighth, Adbert Alzolay gave up three runs on four hits to take a loss to the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: All four hits were singles, and three of them were soft, coming in at 80 mph or less. Two were grounders perfectly placed in between Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner up the middle. To be fair, Alzolay was missing his spots, and he hurt his cause by paying no attention to the baserunners and giving up three steals. Obviously, this won’t help his chances of seeing saves again anytime soon. Still, this isn’t how he usually struggles when he’s ineffective; he hadn’t allowed more than two hits in an appearance since last Sept. 1. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:02 pm
    • Out against left-hander
Winker is not in the lineup for Friday's tilt versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Left-hander Yusei Kikuchi is starting or the Jays on Friday and he's limited left-handed batters to just a .351 OPS this season. Meanwhile, the lefty-hitting Winker has a .505 OPS against southpaws in 2024. Ildemaro Vargas is in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:22 pm

    • Sitting again
Velazquez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Velazquez has been less and less of an everyday option for the Royals as the team continues to trot out lineups with Salvador Perez as first, Vinnie Pasquantino at DH and Freddy Fermin behind the dish. Velazquez hasn't done much to warrant an everyday role after starting the season red-hot, with just one hit in his last 27 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:40 pm
    • Double, RBI in loss
O'Neill went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double and an RBI in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Giants.

Advice: O'Neill had a terrific first month in a Boston uniform and continues to outperform his career standards. The outfielder has a 1.096 OPS, second in MLB behind only Mookie Betts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:16 am

    • Moved to 60-day IL
The Diamondbacks transferred Kelly (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Advice: Kelly was placed on the 15-day IL on April 23 after sustaining a teres major strain in his right shoulder. Due to his transfer to the 60-day IL, Kelly will be on the shelf until at least late June, and his rehab progress over the next few weeks could determine whether the right-hander will need more time beyond that window. Kelly started the season with a 2-0 record, 2.19 ERA and 0.93 WHIP over 24.2 innings through four starts. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:45 pm

    • D-backs transfer Merrill Kelly to 60-day IL
Diamondbacks transferred RHP Merrill Kelly to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Arizona’s 40-man roster. The 35-year-old veteran right-hander is facing a lengthy absence after landing on the shelf last week with a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld Thursday, 5:32 pm
