    • Pitches well in no-decision
Sears allowed a run on five hits and a walk while striking out two over five innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Sears' lone mistake was a solo home run by Alex Bregman in the second inning. While it wasn't the most efficient outing -- Sears threw 65 of 100 pitches for strikes -- it was a decent performance for a pitcher that's had few middle-of-the-road efforts so far. This was the fifth time he's allowed one or fewer runs, but he's given up four or more runs in each of his other four outings. Sears is at a 3.96 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB through 50 innings, and he'll carry a 3-2 record into his next start, tentatively projected to be in Kansas City. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

    • JP Sears allows one earned run vs. Astros
JP Sears allowed one earned run and five hits over five innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: Sears only struck out two batters in this one, but he did a good job of limiting baserunners for much of the evening. His lone blemish on the night came in the second inning on an Alex Bregman home run, but Sears was once again solid for the A’s. He’s now allowed one run or less in five outings this season and is sitting on a 3.96 ERA heading into his next start, which is scheduled for Sunday against the Royals. • Bo Naylor drives in two in win over Rangers
Bo Naylor went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

Advice: Naylor doubled in the second inning to score Estevan Florial and Kyle Manzanardo, giving the Guardians their first runs of the day and an early 2-0 lead. He would later score on a single by Andrés Giménez to push the lead to 3-0. Naylor’s hit ended a three-game hitless streak as the catcher has struggled out of the gate to start the year. Naylor entered the day batting .175 with three homers and nine RBI over 33 games. He remains well off the fantasy radar at this time. Rotoworld 47 minutes ago
    • Kyle Finnegan nets 13th save on Tuesday
Kyle Finnegan tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the White Sox to collect his 13th save of the season.

Advice: Finnegan’s streak of 11 consecutive hitless innings came to a close when he gave up a one-out single to Andrew Benintendi. Yet, he managed to scatter a pair of hits in the frame, thanks to a couple ground outs and a strikeout of Nicky Lopez to end the contest, preserving a three-run lead in the opening contest of Tuesday’s doubleheader. He’s converted 13 of 14 save chances this season to go along with a 1.56 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 17/8 K/BB ratio across 17 1/3 innings (18 appearances). He’s been one of the best closers in baseball for fantasy purposes so far. Rotoworld Today, 4:29 pm
    • Nico Hoerner scratched with hamstring tightness
Nico Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary measure since Hoerner was in Chicago’s original lineup, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on moving forward. The 27-year-old middle infielder should be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 4:24 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta due to left hamstring tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Hoerner was originally slated to bat leadoff for Chicago in Game 2 of its series in Atlanta, but he will now be forced to take a seat. More information on his injury will likely be provided following the contest, but in the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at shortstop and bat eighth against Atlanta. • Jesse Winker remains out with back spasms
Jesse Winker (back) is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s first game of a doubleheader against the White Sox.

Advice: Winker left Sunday’s game with back spasms and the outfielder has not been able to return since. The 30-year-old will sit with Nick Senzel lining up at designated hitter and hitting sixth. Winker should still be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 11:32 am

    • Out for Game 1
Winker (back) is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker was removed from Sunday's game with back spasms and wasn't part of the Nationals' lineup for Monday's matchup against the ChiSox, which was postponed. While it's possible Winker could return for the nightcap Tuesday, it's more likely he'll receive the full day off. Nick Senzel will handle DH duties during Game 1. Rotowire.com Today, 11:09 am

    • Kyle Schwarber returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Mets
Kyle Schwarber (back) is hitting leadoff and and lined up as the designated hitter for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: The hope was for Schwarber was that he would be able to return to the lineup Monday, but the Phillies held him out for one more day as a precaution; although he did appear as a pinch-hitter. He’ll look to do damage against Jose Butto and the Mets after missing time with his back ailment. Rotoworld Today, 7:31 am
