    • Collects win Tuesday
Hader (2-3) allowed a walk and struck out three over two scoreless and hitless innings to earn the extra-inning win over the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: After starter Ronel Blanco was ejected for the alleged use of a foreign substance, this became a bit of a bullpen game for the Astros as they looked to protect a 1-0 lead. Ryan Pressly couldn't maintain the lead in the eighth inning, but Hader pitched well in the ninth and 10th, and he got the win after Victor Caratini delivered a walk-off hit as a pinch hitter. Hader's active 4.1-inning scoreless streak is his longest of the season. He's now at a 4.74 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 30:9 K:BB with five saves in six chances over 19 innings this season. • Brent Rooker drives in A’s lone run vs. Astros
Brent Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: It was an underwhelming night for Rooker and the A’s, as their offense was held to just one run on seven hits before eventually losing in the 10th inning. Rooker’s single in the eighth inning scored Abraham Toro to tie the game and eventually force extra innings, as Rooker has now hit safely in eight straight games. The veteran outfielder is slashing .435/.509/.848 this month and appears to have put his slow start to the season behind him. Rotoworld Today, 8:29 pm

    • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • Chris Sale stays hot in domination of Cubs
Chris Sale threw seven shutout innings in a 7-0 win over the Cubs, allowing just two hits and striking out nine.

Advice: He’s now allowed just two runs over his last 25 innings. Sale’s slider carved up the Cubs all game, with a 44 percent whiff rate and 34 percent CSW on the pitch. The average exit velocity on all contact against Sale was just 81 mph as the left-hander mowed down the Cubs’ order. The effort gave him a 2.54 ERA on the year to go along with 61 strikeouts to just eight walks in 49 2/3 innings. He has been every bit the ace he was back before his injuries and there’s no reason to doubt he can keep it up as long as he can stay healthy. Rotoworld Today, 6:53 pm

    • Idle Tuesday
Steer isn't in the Reds' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Steer will catch a breather Tuesday after extending his hitting streak to five games while also driving in two runs during Monday's loss. Jacob Hurtubise will get the nod to start in left field and bat ninth while Steer rests. Rotowire.com Today, 4:06 pm

    • Spencer Steer getting rare day off on Tuesday
Spencer Steer is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s a rare off day for Steer, who has started to heat up at the dish recently with at least one hit in each of his last five contests, raising his batting average nearly 20 points from .234 to .248 in the process. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

    • Tuesday's game postponed
Bradish and the Orioles won't play against the Blue Jays on Tuesday since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: The contest will be made up via a traditional doubleheader July 29. Bradish will simply have his start pushed back a day and will pitch in Wednesday's series finale versus Toronto, per Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com. Rotowire.com Today, 2:48 pm

    • Tuesday’s Blue Jays vs. O’s game postponed (rain)
Tuesday’s game between the Blue Jays and Orioles has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Advice: So, this one is a surprise. There is some light rain in the forecast, especially for the later stages of the contest, but to make the call this early is a real stunner. It’ll be made up as a doubleheader on July 29. Tuesday’s original starting pitchers -- Chris Bassitt and Kyle Bradish -- will take the ball on Wednesday instead. Rotoworld Today, 2:47 pm

    • Absence continuing Tuesday
Turner (illness) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: The 39-year-old will sit for the third consecutive game as he continues to deal with an illness, which has also afflicted teammates Kevin Kiermaier and George Springer, though Kiermaier is back in the lineup Tuesday. Turner should continue to be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Today, 2:27 pm
