• Reaches double-digit steals
Neto went 0-for-2 with a walk, a run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 7-5 win against Oakland.

Advice: Neto was also hit by a pitch in the fourth inning, and he came around to score when the next batter (Mickey Moniak) belted a grand slam. Neto's eighth-inning theft was his 10th of the campaign through 76 contests; as a rookie last year, he stole a modest five bases in 84 games. The shortstop also has 10 homers this season, making him one of 14 big-leaguers to have reached double-digit home runs and stolen bases so far in 2024. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:37 am
  • Clubs homer Tuesday
Freeman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday in a 4-3 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman's two-run shot in the third inning tied the game at 3-3, and Shohei Ohtani's RBI single one frame later provided the decisive run. The long ball was Freeman's sixth in a superb June during which he's slashed .338/.433/.650 with 15 RBI, 19 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:12 BB:K. The veteran first baseman is tied for fourth in the league with 47 walks on the season, and his 13.7-percent walk rate is on pace for a career-best mark, excluding the abbreviated 60-game 2020 campaign. Tommy Edman, who is working his way back from wrist surgery, suffered a sprained ankle while taking grounders on Tuesday.

  • Sprains ankle in workout
Edman (wrist) sprained his ankle while fielding grounders Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: The injury isn't viewed as a major setback, but it's not ideal after Edman had finally been making some real progress in his recovery from right wrist surgery. The Cardinals had been hopeful that Edman would be ready for a rehab assignment soon, and while that still could be the case, the ankle issue could delay him a few days. • Makes impact at leadoff
India batted leadoff and went 2-for-2 with two walks, two doubles, two steals and three runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: He was also hit by a pitch. India batted leadoff for a second straight game, filling in at the spot normally handled by TJ Friedl, who was added to the 10-day injured list Monday with a hamstring injury. In two games atop the order, India is 5-for-6 with three walks, four doubles, two steals and six runs scored. The two steals lifted him to eight for the season. He's hit safely in seven straight, going 13-for-25 with seven extra-base hits during the streak. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:58 am
  • Picks up steal
Kwan went 1-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Kwan has let his bat do the talking since he returned from a hamstring injury, going 33-for-75 (.440) over his last 19 contests. Predictably, he hasn't tried his luck much on the bases, going 1-for-2 in stolen base attempts in that span. He's now at a .385/.443/.563 slash line with seven home runs, 24 RBI, 48 runs scored and four steals over 51 contests, and it's safe to assume his speed will remain down given his history of hamstring issues. • Tallies 12th homer
Paredes went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Paredes went yard in the eighth inning to tally his 12th homer of the season and only his second since May 31. He's hit only .229 in that span with nine RBI and six runs scored. Despite the slow stretch, Paredes still has a .821 OPS and .358 wOBA for the season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:56 pm

  • Seven-game RBI streak
Diaz went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Diaz led off the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run, continuing his excellent run of recent production. He has gone deep three times in his last six starts and also has at least one RBI in seven straight games. Diaz also extended his hitting streak to 18 games, during which he's hit .358. Freddie Freeman went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman’s two-run blast in the third tied the game at 3-3 after Bobby Miller put the Dodgers in a deficit early. Freeman now has 12 home runs and 48 RBI on the season and is slashing a solid .338/.433/.650 in the month of June with six homers and 15 RBI. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:35 pm
