    Advice: Nevin wasted no time carrying over the momentum he'd built up while toiling for the Aviators in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League, lacing his fourth two-bagger of the season one inning after drawing a free pass and coming around to score on Zack Gelof's three-run home run. Nevin drew the start at third base Tuesday and could work himself into some fairly regular playing time at either corner infield spot or designated hitter if he continues to swing a hot bat.     Sanchez went 3-for-5 with a double, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's extra-inning win over the Cardinals.

    Advice: The 26-year-old got the Marlins' offense rolling by taking Lance Lynn deep during the first inning of an eventual 9-8 victory. It was Sanchez's first homer and first multi-hit performance in June, snapping a 13-game swoon in which he'd gone just 8-for-43 (.186) with a 0:15 BB:K.     Justyn-Henry Malloy, who went 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in his last three starts, is on the bench for the second time in four games today.

    Advice: The Tigers are picking Akil Baddoo and Andy Ibáñez over Malloy today. Malloy has hit the ball hard when he makes contact — his average exit velocity is 93 mph — but he’s collected just six hits and has fanned 19 times in 46 plate appearances.     Varsho went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

    Advice: Getting the start in center field and hitting cleanup, Varsho pilfered his third bag in the last 10 games and his eighth of the season in nine attempts. The 27-year-old sports a lopsided .216/.296/.446 slash line on the season with 11 homers, 35 RBI and 40 runs in 69 contests, but his .742 OPS still provides a significant improvement on the Blue Jays' other option in center field, Kevin Kiermaier (.545 OPS).     Raley went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

    Advice: Raley's 371-foot shot to left in the fifth inning extended the Mariners' lead to 6-1 while serving as his second homer in the last six games and fourth of June overall. The offseason arrival has followed up his career year with the Rays last season in reasonably good form, as he's now sporting a solid .258 average and .749 OPS across 62 games.     Jazz Chisholm Jr. was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup because of right hamstring tightness.

    Even though the team is facing left-hander Tarik Skubal, Jarred Kelenic remains in the leadoff spot for the Braves on Wednesday.

    Advice: For better or worse, Brian Snitker loves his set lineups. Kelenic has a .231 OBP in just 26 plate appearances versus lefties this season. He’s hit .193/.253/.307 lifetime against lefties, and it’s safe to say he hasn’t faced many as good as Skubal.
