    Even though the Tigers are facing a tough lefty in Cole Ragans, Colt Keith is in the lineup for Wednesday’s game versus the Royals.

  • Goes deep again Tuesday
    McMahon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

    Advice: McMahon kicked off the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning off of Aaron Brooks for his only hit of the evening. He's now upped his hitting streak to nine games and is slashing .378/.310/.676 with three homers, seven RBI and nine runs scored. He's maintained an average north of .300 for the majority of the season thus far and is currently riding a streak of 19 consecutive plate appearances without striking out.     Tovar went 2-for-5 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

    Advice: Tovar put together his first career multi-homer with solo blasts in the fifth and seventh innings to bring his total up to seven for the season. He's been locked in at the plate for most of May, registering at least a hit in 12 of his last 13 games with six of those being multi-hit efforts. Tovar has entrenched himself in the No. 2 spot in the batting order against righties and has seen himself hitting leadoff against lefties. He's now second on the team with 53 hits and tied for second with 21 RBI.     Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Giants.

    Advice: His second single of the night was clutch, as Gonzalez smacked a single up the middle on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the 10th to bring home Michael Taylor as the phantom runner. Gonzalez took a while to adjust to the pros after being selected seventh overall in the 2020 Draft, but the 24-year-old seems to be coming into his own -- after erupting for a 1.039 OPS in 30 games for Triple-A Indianapolis prior to his promotion, he's produced a .282/.310/.462 slash line in 11 contests for Pittsburgh with two homers, one steal, five runs and nine RBI.     Advice: Seager had a rough time against Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts to start the day. However, he'd turn his night around with a solo home run off Jeff Hoffman in the eighth inning, cutting Texas' deficit to 3-2. The long ball extended Seager's hitting streak to six games -- he's gone 7-for-22 (.318) with three homers in that span.
