    • Rogers allows one run in no-decision Monday
Trevor Rogers allowed one run in 5 ⅓ innings and got a no-decision against the Padres on Monday.

Advice: Rogers allowed six hits, two walks and struck out three. He’s not rebounding as well as we might’ve hoped this year. Rogers looks more like the version that had a 5.47 ERA in 2022 than the version that had a 2.64 ERA in 2021. He lowered his ERA to 5.65 and with a 4.26 xFIP there is some room for improvement, especially considering his .361 BABIP is higher than his career .327 BABIP and his strand rate is a little low at 64 percent. Still, Rogers’ strikeout and walk percentages are the worst of his career. He hasn’t completed six innings all year. This isn’t a recipe for winning games, especially on the Marlins. Rogers has just one win in 11 starts this season. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Rangers at home this weekend.

    • Quality start again in win
Parker (4-2) earned the win Monday against Atlanta, allowing three runs on five hits and no walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: With a 100-pitch effort, Parker tossed his second straight quality start and third of the season. The Nationals starter generated a solid 17 whiffs to collect his six strikeouts. The 24-year-old lefty continues an impressive rookie campaign, now owning a 3.45 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:8 K:BB in 44.1 innings. Parker is tentatively scheduled to pitch against the Guardians on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 6:07 pm

    • Fans seven in quality start
Gasser did not factor into the decision Monday against the Cubs, allowing three hits and no walks over six shutout innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gasser dominated the Cubs, pounding them with a sound five-pitch mix to collect his second-career quality start. The 24-year-old rookie has impressed in 23 innings so far, producing a 1.96 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB. Things have been excellent under the hood too, as he owns a 2.52 FIP and 47.3 percent groundball rate. Gasser is tentatively set to make his next scheduled start against the White Sox at home. • Jalen Beeks gives up run in fourth straight outing
Jalen Beeks recorded his fifth save despite giving up a run in the ninth Monday against the Guardians.

Advice: Beeks gave up a double to Tyler Freeman and a single to Andrés Giménez before finishing off the Guardians. It’s the fourth straight outing in which Beeks has allowed a run, and his stint as the Rockies’ closer might not last much longer. Victor Vodnik could be next in line in Colorado. • Xzavion Curry roughed up in loss to Rockies
Xzavion Curry was tagged for seven runs — six earned — in 3 1/3 innings Monday in a loss to the Rockies at Coors Field.

Advice: Curry’s three starts have produced a 5.68 ERA and a total of eight strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings. There aren’t really any interesting replacements available in Triple-A, so he’ll probably stick for now. Stretching out Pedro Avila as a potential rotation option might be one idea for the Guardians. Avila finished off today’s game with 2 2/3 scoreless innings. Rotoworld Today, 5:15 pm

    • Walker allows five earned in loss Monday
Taijuan Walker allowed six runs (five earned) in six innings and took the loss against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Walker allowed nine hits, two walks and struck out four. He completed six innings for the fourth time in six starts this year, but the five earned runs allowed increased his ERA to 5.51. After starting 3-0, Walker hasn’t won any of his last three starts. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals at home this weekend.

    • Walks four more batters
Nastrini (0-4) took the loss Monday against Toronto, allowing three earned runs on three hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The 24-year-old struggled with his control yet again, walking four or more batters for the third consecutive start. The right-hander has been erratic all season, compiling a dismal 13:17 K:BB ratio across four starts. Nastrini was serviceable in this one, but he won't find consistent success in the majors until he cleans up his control. He now owns a 9.92 ERA and 2.20 WHIP in 16.1 innings pitched. • Parker picks up fourth win against Braves Monday
Mitchell Parker allowed three runs in 6 ⅓ innings and picked up the win in the Nationals’ 8-4 victory over the Braves on Monday.

Advice: The win was Parker’s fourth of the season. He allowed five hits, no walks and struck out six. Parker held the Braves scoreless in the first six innings before running into trouble in the seventh. He allowed an RBI groundout to Sean Murphy and a two-run home run to Adam Duvall before he was removed. Parker lowered his ERA to 3.45. He now has a SO:BB of 38:8 in eight starts this year. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the Guardians on the road this weekend.

    • Gasser strikes out seven in no-decision Monday
Robert Gasser threw six shutout innings and got the no-decision in the Brewers’ 5-1 victory over the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Gasser left the game in the seventh inning with two on and nobody. Reliever Bryan Hudson escaped the jam without any runs being charged to Gasser, who allowed only three hits and struck out seven. He lowered his ERA to 1.96 in four starts. Gasser has a SO:BB of 13:1 and 47 percent ground ball percentage. He’s certainly a promising rookie, though he’s probably due to give up some runs eventually as his xFIP is 3.99. The 24-year-old left-hander is set to face the White Sox at home this weekend.
